What's New in CutOnce

1.13.0

August 21, 2026

• New wall-stud counter. Enter a wall's length, spacing, and height, add corners, and CutOnce gives you a stud count with top plates and waste figured in — then prints it to the tape and a PDF. • More accurate hip and valley roofs. We corrected edge lengths, angle notes, and rounding across hip and valley layouts — including metric — so your cut list matches the framing. • Your inputs stay put when you switch units. Flip between imperial and metric and the values you entered carry over instead of clearing. • Birdsmouth warning. CutOnce now flags when a birdsmouth cut would go deeper than your stock, before you make the cut. • Roof-plan PDFs in Spanish. Roof-plan notes are now available in Spanish. • Stability and polish. Fixed a rare roof-plan rendering crash and tightened rafter accuracy and layout.

User reviews

Made me feel like a pro

I built a deck in my backyard and CutOnce figured out how much lumber I needed, calculated my stair rise and run, and even told me how many concrete bags for the footings. I didn’t search for formulas or hope I got the math right. Everything just worked in the units I was buying at the store.
