Best in its class
I love this app because it truly enables me to discover new parts of London (and other places where I've used it). The routes often vary even between the same start and destination, which makes it even better. I even use it for walking routes (though I wish they made a dedicated walking app - if the developers are reading this, please do it). It's much better than better known alternatives.

Très bons itinéraires à vélo et support remarquable
J’utilise principalement CycleMaps pour mes déplacements à vélo dans Paris et, après avoir essayé plusieurs applications, je trouve que les itinéraires proposés sont souvent particulièrement pertinents. Le mode Direct correspond très souvent au trajet que j’aurais choisi naturellement en connaissant bien Paris. Le mode Équilibré est intéressant lorsqu’on souhaite privilégier davantage les pistes cyclables et la sécurité, quitte à faire un trajet un peu moins direct.
J’apprécie également beaucoup l’intégration avec l’Apple Watch, qui me permet de garder mon iPhone dans mon sac et de suivre mon itinéraire directement au poignet.
J’ai rencontré un problème technique de reconnaissance de mon achat sur l’Apple Watch. Le support a été remarquablement réactif : après plusieurs échanges et tests, les développeurs ont identifié le problème, réalisé un correctif et publié très rapidement une mise à jour qui l’a résolu. Une qualité de support suffisamment rare pour être soulignée !
Quelques améliorations rendraient encore l’application plus complète. J’aimerais notamment pouvoir comparer plusieurs itinéraires alternatifs, un peu comme dans Plans d’Apple, avec pour chacun le dénivelé et, idéalement, des indications sur les aménagements cyclables empruntés. Cela permettrait de choisir facilement selon ses priorités : trajet le plus direct, parcours le plus plat ou itinéraire privilégiant les pistes cyclables.
Je n’ai pas encore suffisamment testé CycleMaps à la campagne pour donner un avis définitif sur cet usage, mais pour mes déplacements quotidiens à Paris, c’est actuellement l’application vélo que je préfère.

Great app
I use this app for cycling around London, and I would literally be lost without it.
I find that the options provided are different to other apps, using routes that are more direct.
Also I’ve found so many short cuts by using this app that I would have never thought of before.
On the whole really good for cyclists, keep up the good work!!

Fabulous app
Really easy to use and has many useful features. I mainly use it in London and it keeps surprising me with new cycle routes. I like the 3 modes - Direct, quiet and balanced.

I use the app all the time. I trust it to get me from A-B along safer routes. Now all I have to work out is finding a place to secure my bike when I arrive at my destination and how to mitigate against stupid pedestrians…

Reliable Navigation for Cycling

The app improved a lot; a long-awaited feature became available with the latest release. The pan function, whilst approaching a crossing or other areas, allows for easy navigation through London’s traffic jungle.

I have been using Google Maps for all my cycling and have got tired of misrouted or inconvenient navigation.
After a couple of trips with this app now, I’m more than happy to explore unfamiliar yet safe terrain in London. It's really fun to pass through parks and quiet side streets, detached from the traffic.
I will give 5 stars once a female voice navigation will be made available ;)

My feedback given to the developers is acknowledged, a night-day mode feature will coming soon :)

Essential for cycling
I’ve tried pretty much all of the cycling mapping apps and this is by far the best. I find it essential for navigating around London and taking advantage of the cycle network. The routing options are great. The developers are also receptive to feedback. Thanks!
Perfect for use with my electric scooter
Been using this app for going on two years with an electric scooter I purchased. I fly into airports with my small plane and then use the Scooter together with the app to go to a local diner for breakfast. I usually travel anywhere from 2 to 5 miles one way. The app has never failed me and I love how I get the directions in my little EarPod as well as having the phone mounted on the handlebars.

Très bon GPS pour vélo!
Connaît bien mieux les pistes cyclables de ma ville que Plan ou Google Map. Propose toujours des chemins sécuritaires sur des routes partagées ou des pistes cyclables. Seul défaut à mes yeux: l’application n’est qu’en anglais.

Good for what it is for. Some extra features would make it better.
It’s quite good for what it says it does: planning your cycling route! I would give it 5/5 stars if it would have shown alternative routes to choose when planning a trip, and would have the option to select specific roads/streets/safety levels.

Finding some magic
We have been using the App to help us explore London. Using the quiet setting has led us through woods, parks, by rivers and canals all while crossing central London. Our last ride took us to the front doors of the Hilton Doubletree Hotel, through the lobby, past reception and out the back doors on to the ferry to Canary Wharf. The view was amazing and the moment felt magical.
