What's new in 1.5: • A traffic light for "should you actually get in the water right now" — on the beach card, in the list, and on map pins. Green means go. Red means the sea decides today, not you • You can now sort the list by where it's best right now. The closest beach isn't always the best one — now you can see that • Filters are grouped into collapsible categories: no more scrolling the entire coastline to reach "Parking". The button tells you how many beaches you'll get before you tap it • New filters: shade, lifeguard, changing rooms, wheelchair access, snorkelling, diving, windsurfing, gentle entry. The data has been in the database for ages — it was just shy • Pick more than one area at a time. And cut off anything further than 5, 10 or 20 km • The UV index now comes with words. "9" tells you nothing; "very high" tells you: sunscreen • The map no longer spins on its own when you fumble a pinch. And if you do want to spin it, there's a compass — it puts north back too • Photos can be picked in batches now, up to ten at a time. Previously one by one, like it's 2009 • "Rate the beach you visited" used to open the home screen — which beach, you work it out. "New place on the map" did exactly the same: place added, finding it is your problem. Now a tap opens the thing the push was about. And reminders no longer wait until you've opened the app anyway • The "My places" screen lost a row of buttons.
