Great! With one minor problem

I love this app! It has a lot of features and constantly being updated.
I have only 1 issue with it and it does require me to only give 4 stars. Now i do not know if i am doing something wrong or not but…some of the spells that have a very large description (like the wish spell) i cannot scroll down to read the rest of the spell!! The app stops scrolling and it cuts off parts of the description. I have other resources to look up the spell sure but it sure would be nice to only need this app for all my spell description and casting needs 😁

iOS needs some help

I absolutely love this app, mostly because it has all spells from all source material, not just the PHBs. My only issue is I have it on iPhone, which means no custom spells, and many of the spells with longer text are glitchy, not allowing you to scroll far enough to see all the content. My partner has the android version on his phone so I can see how great the app is meant to be in it’s full form, just hope the iOS version gets the same treatment at some point!

Well thanks a lot..

App won’t start after last update. Great job geniuses… why tweak something that works is what I don’t get…

Update

Does not update as often on apple as it does on android. Apple is on 3.9.0 and android is at 4.4.8 its some bulls*#t but he app is amazing just wish it was equally update

Incredibly useful

Really handy and useful app, either for a quick reference or for building character spell lists. Only feature I feel it still lacks is a sort by damage type option, otherwise it seems to have everything you could want.

Useful but has annoying bug

Very useful and I would give this app 5 stars except for the Spell Slots bug. More than half the time I navigate to Spell Slots I get stuck on that screen and can’t exit —all options for settings, edit, reset, and go back disappear. I have to kill the app and relaunch to get back to any other screen.

UPDATE: emailed the developer. :)

Love the concept

I love this concept, and it’s a super easy app to figure your way around. However the spells are not completely accurate to the 5E player handbook.

Only one nitpick!

I use this all the time whenever I play DnD and is a life saver. My only complaint is that I don’t know how to change the name of the character once it’s made or if it’s even possible and I’ve been trying to figure it out for ages!

Amazing App for Spellcasters and DMs!!

I don’t typically leave reviews for a lot of apps. However, this one is an exception. I primarily play only magic users. It has been extremely amazing and convenient to be able use this as a way to either quickly look up a spell or to create the lists for my characters. The fact that this app is free is wonderful. I feel it really goes to show that the developer really has a lot of love for the game. The app is updated frequently with having, as far as I know, pretty much everything. Including the most recent 2024 updates.

One thing that I would love to see added in one day would be a way to print out my Spellbook for my characters with the descriptions, components, etc. Even if it was a reasonable fee to upgrade to be able to get that feature. I would be willing to pay it.

Rad as hell!

Everything is on here! It’s perfect. No need to keep using beyond for spells!

Not working

Everytime I install it and tap on it to open the app it immediately closes it out and doesnt even show an open window for it- idk what Im doing wrong hete

Still Great for 2024 D&D Rules!

This is by far and away my favorite and most used companion app for D&D. It’s free, has great sorting features, and contains every spell. I’m not kidding it has every spell from every 5e book and the developer is updating it constantly anytime there’s a new book, once again all for free. I have immense respect and infinite gratitude for that and after all these years I’d sooner draw from the deck of many things then rate this app anything less than 5 stars.

Exactly what I was looking for

I’m new to playing as a cleric in 5e, and was nervous about how daunting it’ll be to pick from so many spells. This app is much easier than flipping through the book, and tbh idk how I’d play my cleric without it.

Difference between iPhone and Android?

My group uses this for our game, and normally I would give 5 stars but for some reason, my iPhone version does not have all the same features as my friends Android version. For example, the Warlock class info is missing the spell casting table on mine, while it is present for my friends app. Unsure why there is a mismatch.

Should the two versions be brought to parity, I will definitely change my rating to 5 stars.

Decent

For a free product this is great. The amount of resources available without having to pay is amazing. That being said please fix the search bar. It’s a real hassle having to scroll through all the spells trying to find the one I need.

Love the app! One thing it needs.

Love the app makes working on my spell lists so much simpler. The only thing I hope you add is Split View support for iPad so I can have my written PDF on one side of the screen and the Spellbook app on the side so I don’t need to change window.

Very useful!

I’ve been playing since 1979 and have had a variety of ways to keep track of spells, many hand-written. But at my advanced age, I can no longer write all that neatly and without hand pain.

This app is what I’ve been looking for. Tons of spells listed. I can filter by levels, class, and other things. I took a while to just explore and figure out how it works. It wasn’t too hard.

I use an iPad and if I turn it to portrait the image is large enough for me to see well with my difficult eye-sight.

I agree with another reviewer that space to add notes would be useful. The only other comment I have is that it doesn’t look like there is a way to save (or lock) my selections so I don’t accidentally delete things.

Update?

Needs an update for iPhone! Haven’t had one in over 8 months. My boyfriend has an android and has the option to use spell slots on his Spellbook app, where (as an iPhone user) don’t even have that option or the most recent update. Very frustrating! Please update to match android.

Awsome

Great app but I don’t know where the spells are
