Regional small newspapers are disappearing
Unfortunately their disappearance is tragic for Democracy because leaders, politicians, businesses, and police can easily hide crimes because no one is watching.

Much better newspaper
For a while, a couple years ago, I thought this newspaper would be obsolete soon with the super liberal influence of the parent company, USA Today.
Since they have separated the two, at least in the e-edition that I use it has gotten much better.
Now it concentrates on Lafayette city and parish real news without political bias.
I read the e-editions of both popular news papers. The Advocate covers mostly Baton Rouge, as in new eateries and sports and the Advertiser provides that coverage for Lafayette in addition to items like AirBnBs as they effect Lafayette neighborhoods
Today I convinced someone to try the Daily Advertiser again

Daily news paper
I’m old school and still like to read my local news paper. Even though I already know most of the information from other sources there is just so about reading the paper. Often the articles are more about local people and places you don’t on ther platforms. Also I still enjoy the cartoons.

It is great to get my local news anywhere in the world...without the hassle of paper waste. The local writers offer excellent insight to the whole region of Acadiana as well as our state, nation, and world.
Mess
What a mess. Can only get yesterday paper and no USA. No wonder people are getting feed up with news papers. This is the worst paper in the world. I can read the whole thing backing out of my driveway
I can’t navigate articles
Highlighting articles has been impossible today. I cannot quere the articles . Only half shows & I cannot go up or down
