Thank you for getting in touch and letting us know about the issue with the app — and I’m sorry for the inconvenience it caused. I’m happy to say that everything is now fixed. When you’re ready, a quick restart of the app will make sure the changes take effect.

Great content but slow App

It has improved since the first version but I preferred the old app because it was very stable. Quite often have to restart it. Also, would be nice to see more snippets about the authors because it really adds something to understand the background?

Much better!

I’d used the old version of this app before but while the content was good, I found it clunky and hard to use, and had pretty much given up. This update is really good. Simple to use and much cleaner. It makes reading the Bible each day a lot easier… and that’s never a bad thing. The SU content is always good, and the variety of writers keeps things fresh. Always makes me think!

Much Improved Bible engagement

I am a SU staff member and I understand many users frustrations with the old apps. This major change has improved usability, added new functions, but still has the great content helping to engage with the word of God each day.

Love the Bible and this app helps a lot

I have a vested interest as a member of Scripture Union staff. But I wasn’t involved in making this useful app. As well as adopting a simple but practical Bible study method with the Bible text and some helpful commentary plus clear presentation, the app encourages me to journal, which I want to become more consistent at doing.

Nice app

Simple, fresh design, bite size daily bible readings with guided reflections, providing really helpful structure to daily prayer, and without distracting adverts or lifestyle tips. It’s all about the scripture.

Where have they gone?

What’s happened to my readings from previous years? I did not want to lose them?

Disappointing

It is incredibly disappointing that the functionality of this updated version of the app is so poor. Since the update last week I don’t mind paying the $20 subscription to support the work, but I used to be able to search back through readings from 2024 without paying. Now I can’t even search as far back as January 2025.

I am seriously considering deleting the app and canceling my subscription

How to I restore the previous prior to the latest update

Content is great but the app itself has become really poor

Forgive me, I have loved the app for years but it’s become so unreliable. I constantly have to delete and reload the app and then it reverts back to 20th September 2023. I’ve persevered knowing they’re working on a fix but I’m having to reload weekly now and have been doing so for a couple of months. I’m just not prepared to keep doing it nor paying for the frustration.

Good Bible reading notes

I previously gave this 1 star as I couldn’t access my readings. I thought I’d list all my readings but I deleted the app and when I downloaded it again it downloaded the readings I had missed.
The devotions give a good insight into the Bible passage and what you can learn from it. Also it shows how you it can help you Christian life.

Buggy software

Keep having to uninstall and reinstall after paying for a 1 year subscription. They are working on a new version but in the interim it is very annoying.

Big bug

Bug stops yr subscription working. Only way around it is to delete app and reinstall weekly. As much as a love this app, this is a joke and has been the same for around a year. Beware!

These have been really helpful over several years. Would be great to have the bible links for each reading. It’s also a shame at subscription renewal I have to delete and reload the app. Otherwise thanks so much for this daily resource.

Problems with Subscription

I love this app, and I have been using it for two years. However, every 3 to 4 days after renewing my yearly subscription, I receive a notification that my subscription has ended, even though I just renewed it. This forces me to uninstall the app, reinstall it, and download the lessons again. Please fix this issue.
