Great app for literature!

Also I had a little glitch happen with the font size not aligning with something behind the scenes which led to chapters cutting off some text at the end and I sent a chat about it and it got handled surprisingly quickly along with a really thorough response (shoutout Charlie and Hal) that I appreciated a lot. Bug reports usually disappear into the void so having a personal touch to it was really cool and it’s just gratifying to know you’ve been heard.
Overall would recommend this to literally anyone in a heartbeat, give it a shot.
An AI generated and soulless framework
But it lacks substance. Everything suggested work feels like chatting with an LLM. Nothing is thought out, and clearly hasn’t been battle tested. It doesn’t work the way it feels at first glance. Navigating the see of classics is confusing. It’s easy to lose track of your things in a messy and unorganized UI.
You’re better off asking fable to make you your own app for reading great literature and curate your own experience locally. That’s what I’m doing at least.

Thank you for this, it's useful, and the sea of classics line most of all. that feeling is the exact thing the app exists to get you out of, so if it came back inside the app we did something wrong. the idea is one work a day. you read about it and go as deep as you like, which some days means nodding and moving on, and some days means a poem, a short story, or a novel that takes you all summer. the canon behind it is huge and always growing, but you're never meant to face the whole of it at once (you meet just one). if Explore felt like the whole sea, that's the second door, and the front door is today. a person chose each work and their name is at the foot of its page, and a person answers the 'write to the team' card in the app (usually me) - I'd like to hear where it lost you! Building your own reader with 'Fable' sounds like a fun weekend, the books belong to everyone, and if it ends with you reading more of them, we're on the same side. Thanks, Team DC

Premium sub includes thousands of books for logging. I messaged the team in-app and they added three books for me the same day. Amazing!
