So good app
The app is so good. As a person trying to expand my vocabulary this app has so many words I’ve seen people use in daily life. It is also straight to the point, it just gives you words to remember and work at your own pace, instead of learning the same thing 5 times and then moving on to something else. Although I do wish some things were free, this app is awesome to expand vocabulary.

Better than Quizlet and Duolingo
Awesome app with many different HSK to choose from, spaced repetition, and different types of questions! Also a simple design which isn’t trying to beg you for a subscription every five seconds. And no ads!!!!!!
Simple and elegant
Really great app that just does the job! I would love to build custom packs, hopefully that's in the works. I think that would make it more worthwhile for me to get the paid subscription.
Great vocab app
This app is great for growing and maintaining vocab. It helped me pass HSK1 recently! I also like the categories for growing specific vocab like “going online” or idioms. I’d love a pack specifically regarding Chinese teas and teaware (e.g. gaiwan). My love of Chinese tea was a major motivation for learning Chinese.

Really useful, has really helpful features like audio and multiple flashcard types, and is just overall an amazing app for learning Chinese. Definitely recommend!:))
Good app
Really works well, but draws you in with 150 free words, then £6.99 a month after. I assumed it would all be available, but limited to one lesson a day, rather than it all being behind a pay wall.
Wonderful with one frustration
I love the UI of this app. It’s the nicest spaced repetition app I’ve ever used. I really can’t praise it enough.
But I have one frustration after about two months of use: the app is very inflexible about what it considers a correct answer. For example, it asks for ‘east’ and presents you with several different characters to choose from or combine. If you enter 東方, which is a perfectly valid translation of ‘east’, the app marks it wrong because it was expecting just the character 東. Part of the problem is that it doesn’t tell you when it wants a character and when it wants a word. But it’s also inflexible about requiring 兒: for example it marks 好玩 incorrect when expecting 好玩兒. You simply have to remember which variant the app is expecting, which isn’t really the point of why I want to use the app: I want to learn the language rather than trying to memorize which synonym or variant the app expects. This makes the whole process, which is otherwise excellent, quite frustrating, and leads me to have to review cards I already know well.
All in all this is a superb app, and I look forward to using it again after this issue is addressed!

Impressively Clean UI, More Features Would Be Nice
VERY clean app. That alone makes it so nice to use compared to many others. I have 4 stars simply because it’s not very customizable right now even with the (relatively not expensive, single time payment of $7) premium. Here are some thoughts.
1) Id like to be able to see all the words I know and edit their stats. Sometimes I accidentally mark a word as known.
2) The non-flashcard questions provide too much information in my opinion. Each word has pinyin, characters, and definition. Of these 3, the questions always show two of them and leave only one on the back. Id much prefer only one on the front and two on the back (or even better, one on the back as well as the front), or to make possible to enable this. Until this is added, I unfortunately can only use the flashcards as getting, personally, getting two of the aforementioned characteristics means I can almost always guess the third, even if I don’t know it.
3) Reverse flash cards would lovely
4) Id like be able to do ALL my due questions in one without having to click on each deck individually.

I'll address each individually to make sure I cover everything: 1. You're currently able to see all the words you know by going to the "Known Words" section on the "Account" screen. Tapping on any of the rows will take you to your list of known words where you can reset the progress of any word you may have accidentally marked as known. 2 / 3. Thanks for the feedback! Literally unusable on iPhone SE, nothing fits on the screen.
Absolute best vocabulary app
This is the first app I have ever left a review for. It is one of the few apps out there that does exactly what it says. Unlike all these gamified language learning apps where you can have a hundreds of days streak and still learn nothing, this app is simple, pleasant to use, and very effective. The decks are also extremely well organized; I started as a total beginner and after studying the “Road to Mastery” sequence for almost 1 year, I have enough of a working vocabulary to get through any intermediate conversation, as well as books, shows, etc. If I had any suggestion, I would like to be able to use the app offline. Thank you!

Need better Subscription options
it’s a great app. if it had a lifetime purchase of like $20-$50 that would be great. it is a severely overpriced app. $80/year? Hulu is cheaper than that. There haven’t been many packs added since i last used this app, just AI stuff. i think they need to change the pricing and i would totally buy it

Solid vocab app
This is a solid app for a learning Chinese, can focus on the characters or the pronunciation, whichever you prefer. Doesn’t have all the distractions like other apps have, very clean and keep track of your progress. It has built-in sentence usage to help you understand how to use the words. It’s definitely not a game based app, so it’s more for focused students. I’m a big fan of the app, and would highly recommend it to others loading Chinese.

Clean, simple, works
Great tool for learning/retaining vocab especially on the go. Nice to see that the developer responds to feedback and that there are now multiple questions types with Eng to Cn as well to really help with memorisation. It’d be great in the future to be able to choose question types/Eng to Cn or vice versa, but the app is great and works as it is.

Daily Chinese - most helpful app
The Daily Chinese app has been the most user friendly and helpful app. Simple way for me to improve and grow my Chinese vocabulary. Love it and would recommend to others!

I've been looking for an app like this for a long time. It's really straightforward and easy to use. Better than Anki. Uses spaced repetition to introduce new words and there a ton of different premade word lists to choose from. It's also really well designed!
