About
Learn how to feed your baby in a fun and interactive way! Whether in line at the grocery store or while pumping, Daily Drop is your everyday companion to successfully feeding your baby.
Breastfeeding/chestfeeding can be hard. Finding and accessing information about it shouldn’t be. Daily Drop is the breastfeeding learning app designed for Vermont WIC families that fits with your schedule. You’ll gain knowledge about how to feed your baby, build confidence, and find support.
Created by WIC staff, breastfeeding experts, dietitians, and professional game designers, Daily Drop provides you with fun, personalized learning experiences. The app primarily uses mini games to present information tailored to your current stage of pregnancy or breastfeeding. These games are short, creative and engaging. Identify myths, swipe left and right in sorting games, imagine your way through real life scenarios, and more!
Daily Drop has a wide range of features that can accommodate a variety of learning and gaming styles:
- The Daily Playlist is a personalized set of mini games based on your strengths, learning needs, and stage of pregnancy. Play it regularly to build a streak and earn rewards!
- The Daily Wrap Up is an opportunity to reflect on your feelings. You can look back over time at how your emotions have changed.
- The Challenge Playlist helps you review and focus in on topics that you still need to work on.
- Common Challenges provides resources and answers to relevant questions and concerns.
- A skills library allows you to play games from any stage of pregnancy or breastfeeding on demand. If you are interested in or have questions about something, you can always find that information.
- The more you play, the more rewards you will earn. Use these rewards to unlock fun outfits and accessories for the app’s mascot, Kanga!
- WIC participants can easily reach out for help by contacting their local office through the app.
This app is specifically designed for WIC participants. Information about how you use the game is used to help your WIC staff person provide you with the best possible care. It will allow them to connect you with supports and resources during your regular WIC appointments. Daily Drop is also designed to be accessible, even if you live in a place with slow or no internet.
This project is funded by Tufts University with Federal funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The technology design and development are by GameTheory, an award-winning, Vermont-based, female owned and operated company.
