DHG is a gem
I treasure the Gazette for its photography and local news. We are a very fortunate community to have this newspaper with its long and storied history.
Important Resource
As a paperboy in the late sixties delivering to homes in E’ton on Main and South Streets all the way out to the Red Rock Drive-In and to this day I’ve relied on the DHG. For pocket change back then as well as decades of local news, events, from help wanted ads to the going’s on of Mike Doonesbury. Much appreciated.

Harder to navigate than it used to be
I prefer the previous iteration.
Is this app an improvement?
I want the previous version. This thing is touchy and hard to navigate, and I can’t print puzzles any more. What’s the point of an “upgrade” like this?
Awful format!!!
Since you switched format, I hate reading this paper! The other format I didn’t have to enlarge each page to read, each page was separate to see and it had a section for What was happening on TV for the next week in Saturdays paper!! So disappointed!!!
New e edition no goof
I love reading the Gazette but but this new e edition is making it not so pleasant for me. It’s difficult to use. The old e edition was so nice. Please return to offering that to us again.
Excellent app for an excellent newspaper.
We are extremely fortunate to have a good app that provides easy access to our fine local paper. I hope that, as a community, we can support both services to assure their full health in the years ahead.

A great way to stay in touch while away from the Pioneer Valley
I value local news
I believe that we are very fortunate to have local newspapers. So many parts of our country are in “news deserts” but in the Pioneer Valley we have the Gazette and the Recorder. I appreciate local journalism.
Great Local paper
I have read this paper off and on for many decades mainly because I worked in Hampshire County. I recently subscribed to the digital edition. I currently don’t work or live in Hampshire County but enjoy reading this paper. I find it very well written and put together, in fact much more so than the Springfield “ Repulsive”. ( I do not subscribe to this paper..waste of $$) The Gazette is more informative of community news, events, and important communications that are needed to get out to citizens. Thank you to the publishers for putting together a decent work of journalism and informative vehicle. Laura Bogdanowicz

Great to be back reading the DHG!
I Just didn’t realize how much I was missing over the years… I’m feeling a part of the community once again! I have been reading the Gazette for nearly 50 years, since I first moved to Northampton. Love the accessibility the app provides, only issue I have is that I have to log in each time to read. Small inconvenience!

Convenient and dependable
Not the same as a real newspaper in my hands, but still good.
Great local paper, now easier to read wherever I am
The app works really well, particularly on iPads, as a way to read the local paper, wherever I am.
Surprisingly good
I’ve been a paper in your hands guy for many years. Moving to and e-paper was a leap of faith but I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to use. When you see something interesting, you just click on it to expand and read it comfortably. I’m a convert.
