Needs RCL coding update

The app is clean, and I recommend it for its usability and for it being correct in the readings 99% of the time.

But it does have a coding issue/bug. Today is May 31, 2026 as I write this. The readings it gives today under the RCL are those for the minor feast day of the Visitation of Mary. That makes sense as May 31 is that feast day.

BUT! Today’s readings should not be the visitation in the RCL. Because today is Trinity Sunday (which is a movable feast day as it’s always the first Sunday after Pentecost), and Trinity Sunday is a major feast day, the RCL readings in the app are incorrect. It’s not recognizing that the Trinity Sunday date moves and it takes precedence over a minor feast day on a fixed date.

So, get the app, use it, enjoy it! But realize that at the current time, it may get the RCL readings wrong for dates which move.

Response from developer

Thank you for reporting this. We corrected this along with a couple of other reading issues. We are waiting for the App Store to release the updated version.

Terrible

Maybe I’m not using the app correctly but I see the same scriptures repeated over and over and over on multiple dates. Very redundant. Not worth the $3. Save your money. This app is terrible!!!

It’s okay

Several typos which makes it feel a bit thrown together

I like the high contrast white with black letters.

I like the high contrast white with black letters. White on Black is hard to read. White letters fade into the black. God help us with color and font.

Bring screen option back

An earlier version allowed the choice for black background with white letters. It was much easier on the eyes. Please bring that back. A white screen with black letters is quite harsh.
