Charging for stories
You should have stuck with advertising instead of bribery with subscriptions. For that I’m deleting the app.

I’ve used this app for years, but recent upgrades bringing in “prime stories” or whatever they call it. Then I get the cookie preference choice page, the one that has no decline all choice, takes forever to reject all “legitimate interest” options so gave up, my presence regarding the cookie choices and premium stories is……. Delete this app. Byeeee

Premium Rubbish
Despite poor journalism and lack of proof-reading, the old all done a good job, delivering news in a reasonable manner, but Reach, in their wisdom adopts the draconian monitzation strategy? No thank, app deleted.
Not worth it
Wasn’t a great app but used to be free. At £50 not worth the money.

Pay for “premium”
Full of grammatical and spelling errors, and now they have the audacity to ask you to pay to read these errors, embarrassing! Perhaps focus of basics, like how to work spell check, before getting above your station. App deleted

Rubbish app, especially the sports pages with repeat stories up to 3 weeks old, and now they even have the audacity to ask you to pay to read

Poor dynamic type layout
Is it not about time you sorted out dynamic type and done it properly.
Highest setting is 135% on news. Making it still very small for people that use and need larger font sizes. Dynamic type should scale higher than only 135% :(
The live section font is tiny, Sections settings do scale to larger sizes.
The app is a mess with font so close together, impossible to use for people that use and need larger font sizes though.
You should check other news and sports apps on how to implement dynamic type sizing correctly without horrible font that is so close together.

Auto scroll
Recently the Apo has become almost unusable due to it auto scrolling to the adverts at the foot of articles.
The latest update is even worse as you can’t just scroll back up, it freezes.
Swiping right to the next story and back does not fix this either.

SHOCKINGLY BAD.
Between the spelling errors, fantasyland stories, pro Ukraine/israel state sponsored military and political propaganda being pushed and the absolutely ridiculous glitching every time you scroll down on a story that you focus on ads n they get more money from advertising.
This company, newspaper and app is an absolute and utter joke and should be banned for the lies and public manipulation and scare tactics it promotes daily!!!!

App issues
Stories continually jump to the bottom, making it impossible to read. Even after the recent update.
Videos don't work!
I use the app on an ipad & videos just go to a black screen & you can't get out of it. You have to completely delete the app & re-install it
2025 edit: STILL terrible app! Videos work now in app on ipad, but VERY story glitches as ads push through & you find yourself at the end of the story. Try to scroll back up, nothing! Scroll again, it thinks you've scrolled left/right & you end up on a different story. DELETED!

Story jumps to bottom whilst halfway through reading. There have been updates however this has not been resolved.

What's going on? App jumps down to ads all the time. Text is cramped and using awful font. Almost unusable. For heavens saks is it not someone's job to fix this?
