Antithetical Courses

I can’t tell you how supremely frustrating and disappointing it is to see service after service after service meant to embolden and celebrate the creative spirit cater to obvious scams and programs that destroy creativity. NFTs, crypto, AI, LLMs, etc are not the future of art, they are destroying the Internet, art as a career, and the environment. It’s shameful beyond words to have companies kowtow to this garbage.

Also the app is unusable. It crashes without fail when I click the calendar, and none of the videos load even with a perfect WiFi connection.

Nice App but includes annoying pop-ups

It might be a nice app even if you are a professional artist. But it’s SO annoying to see the pop-up “Can we send you alerts?” each time when I go to the calendar area. I am already an illustrator for years and already have my own style, only here to growing my career on social media and the tips. So I don’t want to get an alert about how to draw on Procreate etc. Didn’t even have to be a reason, ones you did your choice no insisting pop-ups please, it makes people go away.

*Oh and editing your profile page doesn’t work. Even of it shows ‘saved’, it doesn’t.

Not bad but..

I started using this app the day it launched. Was a bit glitchy but I loved it. Was able to share my projects and such. Took a break and I came back to a completely different app. Feels very different then the app at launch. Thought it was a completely different one.

Where are the “90+ monthly online classes”

The app looks sleek and the classes look great. But they advertise that there are “90+ monthly online classes” but I don’t see anything even close to that number. For the live classes I see maybe a handful of classes for the next two weeks (doesn't show anything further)

And then In what I guess is the on demand section (the sleek minimal style of the app does lead to little confusion tbh) there are even less. Some categories even only have one class.

I’m a working artist and yet there maybe one or two classes that actual interest me and I can’t make them cause they are live classes. And I don’t even know if they will be on demand after since not all classes will be on demand and they don’t tell you which ones. They don’t even tell you how long the live classes are just when they start.

Great potential but annoying for an app that advertises a wide selection of classes and flexible scheduling to actually be limited and pretty rigid.

Best Online Art School

Daisie is the best online art school for anyone’s schedule and level of interest. Live zoom workshops are provided by top artists from every genre and you can check the calendar on the easy to navigate home page to sign up for workshops. If you want to network and collab with other artists then you can connect via rooms, profiles and also in the workshop chats. As a beta tester in January ‘21 I’m really impressed with how great the Daisie App looks and functions. 5 stars.

Another Clubhouse…

I liked the app better before when people collaborated. This is now another Clubhouse.

Garbage

Daisie is actual garbage and I wish I could give it 0 stars. It is clunky, boring and now after years of "development" utterly useless as a platform because you can't even post your work. If you are a creative looking to connect with other artists please do yourself a favor and connect through spaces like Facebook or Instagram. Joining this app is a total waste of time and energy.

only use it if you like have your work randomly deleted

if however you're NOT a fan of having your work randomly deleted with no notice, i highly recommend not downloading or using this service.

source: joined early on, logged in today and found ALL MY WORK RANDOMLY DELETED WITH NO NOTICE.

Used to be great until they completely changed their mission

I joined Daisie from the beginning and launched my own art collective straight off of the site by connecting with creators across the globe. I recommended friends and made sure to advertise the platform to everyone I knew. I hadn’t logged in for awhile since they started their knock-off Clubhouse design in beta testing - I really didn’t like that the new addition came at the expense of the original workspaces. Now it seems they’ve deleted all of my projects and written/audio works from my profile (some of which I will never get back) without any kind of heads up that these features were going away. I’ve now lost connections to other creators and lost my art as well. As a creator, losing my hard work and creations guts me.

This used to be a place to connect with people to collaborate on projects. Now it’s just a glorified Clubhouse app. You’d be better off finding something else at this point.

Was better before when it was centered on collaboration

This is a really amazing concept however. I don’t think anyone can deny that art education with a personal element is something often inaccessible to people. But I’m not sure either how well this does the job of solving that problem, for one (since on the internet it’s technically true a person can learn anything they set their mind to). And secondly, now more than ever it’s the long distance enabled collaboration that is so valuable. I can find a video anywhere

Great concept but needs more structure.

I love everything about the app but it needs improvements. Mainly, I think the main focus of the app gets a little lost, in terms of what the true purpose of the app is. Originally I thought it was for collaborations between creatives but the app doesn’t really seem to push for that and now I’m confused on what Daisie is trying to accomplish. I also don’t see any work on anyone’s profile either so it doesn’t make me wanna follow anyone to see what they’re working on. I think small things like curating the home page to what a user is most interested in would make the world of a difference.

Response from developer

We are working on a way to find projects near you. On the app, you can swipe sideways to see more projects in each category. Thank you for being on Daisie!

Great app cool design

I have been a member on this site app for over a year and I must say it’s a breath of fresh air it’s different and they always update its is getting better every day you can connect with other indie pro or none pro creators in may creative fields work on projects build relationships and even learn it’s a true community is decentralized and I hope it stays that way Tha is the over all uniqueness it has and he at you present yourself as a artist is really cool.

Worldwide?

Love love love this app, but there aren’t many creators on in my area (Florida, USA). I would recommend the app to other creators but that’s just it...I’m using this to connect with local creators! Hopefully you all can put some ad money into promoting this app overseas. Otherwise it’s fantastic

Absolutely love the concept

Would love to give this the rating it could become, but I’m unable to upload any of my work. It just simply doesn’t upload. Other than that I strongly desire to see this collaborative app take off big time. I could see a lot of great things, great projects, great collaborations coming out of this app.

Great concept, execution needs work

Really like the concept but there are a lot of bugs. I was trying to set up my profile but I couldn’t add any photo for the profile pic. I’d click it and it would just hang, wouldn’t open the photo app. I also tried to add a bio and website to my profile but every time i exited it never saved. I hope this helped and i hope the app works out. This seems like a great idea.

?

my friend recommended this app to me; I thought it was a good choice. then I put in my email. it said the email had already been taken by another user. how..? I don’t think it’s possible for someone to have the same email as me. if you can, I would like to see this work. thank you for your time!

Long Way To Go Still

I love the idea. I really do. But the whole user experience is a nightmare.

You guys have come a long way over the years but it still feels hard to find the right projects and people inside of this mess of buttons and menus.

And it’s hard for professionals to find professionals to work with. You have to manually dig through so much amateur work to find projects worth collaborating with that might be filtered out by checking for actual project titles, variety of provided media, reference links, or spelling errors maybe?

There’s no mechanism in place for a community aspect either.

app crashes often

every time i open it, after a few minutes or so it will crash. i like the concept, but there are many bugs.

Having a little trouble

I’m having trouble reading messages from collaborator requests. There doesn’t seem to be an intuitive way to read the whole comment or chat. I follow back, but am still having trouble viewing messages. A little help please?

Crashing

App crashes when I attempt to load my feed. Currently unusable.
