What's New in Damascus

2.3

October 14, 2026

The Library is here. The second tab now opens on For You, with lanes for Watch, Listen, Read & Learn and Pray, and one search that finds talks, music, Church documents, novenas and prayers at once. Damascus+ talks have transcripts. Read along, tap a line to jump there, or find a talk by something that was said. A few talks are now free for anyone signed in. Damascus+ also has a new front door: a look at what's inside before you join, and a proper welcome when you do. App Time Limits gained an accountability passcode and a Night Limit, so someone you trust can hold the keys after dark. Saints, pictured your way: sacred art, icons, mosaics, illustrations or characters, rotating through the looks you choose. New devotions: St. Bridget's 12-Year Prayers, plus novenas to Our Lady, Undoer of Knots and Our Lady of Good Remedy. The Prayer Timer now ends however suits the room: a notification that follows your silent switch, a silent banner, or the alarm. Find it under "When it ends" on the timer card. Help is built in: open Settings → Help, or Help from the menu on Home. Ready for iPhone Duo, folded or unfolded. Citations from the Church Fathers, the Council of Trent and other classics now name their source and open the exact passage. And your streak looks out for you: a heads-up when it's about to end, and a Streak Freeze for a day you just missed.

Damascus

This app is a app that helps me prioritize prayer, but the con of this app is that I do not know how to do certain stuff, I wish there was a help button or something, but I LOVE this app, and have gotten a lot of my friends to also join the app and prioritize prayer as well!

Response from developer

That's awesome that you got your friends on the app too. There isn't a help section in the app yet, so for now use Contact Support at the bottom of Settings or email us at it@damascus.net and we'll walk you through whatever you're stuck on. Thanks for your feedback! We'll work on adding a help section to the app!

Damascus

Amazing app I went to the summer camp this past summer and I plan to go back I literally love and adore my 2nd counselor and she really helped me open up to receive what the lord had for me that week and this app just helps me cope with not being at the camp and it helps me keep up the praying daily and reading scripture and understanding it . I do wish you were able to connect with your counselor through the app that’s all

Damascus App

This app is amazing for being able to pray and rad the bible with friends, it has so many options for different Christian books and videos. The highlighting could be better though. Would definitely recommend for anyone trying to grow their faith in the Lord

Nice

I’ve gone 5 years to the summer retreat. Awesome that they have this new app. Cool new features, a LOT of content. For some reason st pio of pietrelcina isn’t on their saint data base. But one big problem: very buggy. Now it is a new app probably on beta but easy fixes is what it seems. Because it basically has every single Catholic Church document, it’s a hefty app. Ones I try to start open for say something from jp2 it goes haywire because it thinks it needs to load everything in the app to use one document. Like this is the hottest my phone has ever been. The screen kinda hurts.

Response from developer

We hear your feedback and v2.0 of the app greatly improves the loading experience! Especially with the church documents! Also St. Pio of Pietrelcina is in the app, his name is just St. Pius of Pietrelcina which is what is listed on the official church calendar for his feast day September 23rd. This is confusing though so we're going to add a smarter search to the app to find saints under their many different names!

Highlighting 🫩🫩

The app is amazing, no doubt. It really helps me pray. The only thing that was kinda upsetting is that the highlighting is all wonky. You’ll highlight one sentence, and it highlights the line underneath. Aside from that, I would totally recommend it!

We fixed this in version 2.0. Give it an update and check it out!
