Fast Drafting Boot Camp

If you’re serious about your writing and trying to get into actual good habits, this is your app. The only thing I would add is a streak counter. No rewards or anything, personally I always think that should be dealers choice. But just super basic metrics so people can be honest about what they’re doing what their time. And I’m people.

Great app

Use it every day, why not

개열받네

30분 쓰는데, 20분만 넘어가면 깜빡임. 짜증나서 대처하다가 날라감. 쫌 고치세요 열받으니까. 이정도 코딩도 못하면서 무슨 프로그램을 만듭니까?

it’s motivating

i really like the way this works. it gets me out of the endless loop of “i can’t write this down until it’s perfect in my head but it’ll never be perfect until i get the bad stuff out.” without the hyperfixation on one sentence running through my head and clogging up all the ram i can actually think of new ideas. crazy right? anyway my only caveat is i’m not actually going to use this app because i also found an app called “unprompted” that has the same feature and also has a lot of unique writing prompts to start from. if unprompted starts bombarding me with ads or lagging so much it barely works, i’m using danger notes.

Amazing app for writers in a pinch

This app? Truly amazing. I'm a writer and it totally got me out of my writers block im grateful ☺️

Lil hack I found>:)

Okay so guys if you’re about to give this app one star because it doesn’t let you have a time to think, don’t do it. If you add a space and delete it repeatedly, it thinks you’re writing and you have a moment to think about what to write next. Also I accidentally closed the app on 104 words so now I’ll never forgive myself:D

How do we like the app

We personally think the app is really good, keeps us writing and we loves it! Genuinely think it’s enjoyable.

No, deleted it as soon as I got it

It’s good for someone whose like doing a school assignment, but like I’m a young writer, which means I have to pause to go eat dinner, I have to do chores, I have to take breaks from my phone. And if I want to take a short break it deletes my work! Never in a million years would I consider using this for my writing. There should be an option to take a break!

Such an amazing app!

I love this app. It reminds me not to obsess over little details and to embrace imperfection. It also really gets the creative juices flowing and I’m never able to finish my thought before time runs out, so I just keep writing. I only have one recommendation: I wish you could reset the timer and continue on the same note. Still a very great app though! Kills my writer’s block for sure!

This made me be soo interested into writing!

5 stars no words

Omg!

This app is amazing! It pushed my goals farther and i think I’ll start typing everyday! Please get this app!

Does wonders for writers block!

This app is truly amazing for pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. You can put how long you want to write for, and then just spill whatever comes to mind! I’ve had it for about a year, and have made some pretty decent progress with my writing time, and how quickly I can think of synonyms, antonyms, etc.

Fantastic

This app is simple, easy and so effective for getting what’s inside to come out whether it’s a riders block or a buried story. I also use it for audio writing because Its understands exactly what I say. I have had this on my phone for years and I must say it’s my most loved app! As well as Todoist, which keeps me completely organized. Give me something simple and effective that works and I am so so so happy.

[update] squibler.io is this but no ads and browser based.

As the title says, just go to squibler.io and utilize that browser based version of this exact thing without the terribly annoying unskipable ads and the dark pattern that is set up to try and solicit tips to bypass apples payment services that would surely refund you when you realize you’ve been manipulated into thinking you would pay for a non-ad version of the software.

Seriously, save yourself the pain all around.

Why I hated this app?:
Dark pattern behavior with their wording in the donating section. Written in a way that it references ads and may seem as though a donation would give you ad free access. I’m sure this is not the case though as there is no wording outright saying so. Absolutely absurd to make an app to help keep you on a train of thought only to offer it exclusively with ads that blast music in your face and make you lose that train of thought. And if that’s not bad enough they then try to trick you into giving them money on top of that. Will be looking for an alternative not so short sighted.

Love this app!

This app has helped me so much with my writing. There’s only one or two little issues but nothing serious. The main issue is trying to move your cursor for typing without it deleting your work. But there’s not much you can do for that I don’t think.

Great App!

I love this app and it motivates me to write a little bit every night so during the day I can really grind and finish the stories I have in mind. The only concerns I have is - Reminder to save work when you go back to it - Adding a sign in feature so I can continue my progress on other devices! This would also be a great website or app on the computer but it’s great over all!!

Good idea but not for Apple Pencil

The app doesn’t properly keep track of my writing when using the Scribble function, as it sometimes can get pretty close to deletion when it doesn’t detect my continuous writing as input. It should have an only note option in which no word will be transformed into text. Just detect if the pen is touching the iPad and producing pixel input. This way the app would be Apple Pencil friendly.

It is good but

I fink

i feel revatilized by this app and the idea behind it.

And that so often seems the case when i use it.

It’s fine, but…

Another review described exactly what just happened to me. How you can accidentally delete part of your work. So yeah. That’s my biggest complaint. The fact that it can happen without warning and that easily. I had no idea what happened and why more than half of my work was gone until I saw the other review explain it. Other than that it’s a really simple tool and easy to use. But yeah that incident really took me out of it. It would be nice if there was a warning before stuff gets deleted or if it wasn’t gone forever and only ended up in a recently deleted file. Like when you delete photos.
