Horrible controls and falling
Great new graphics but the player controls feel janky and character falling is horrible and hard to control. I know the original game had difficult falling but this takes it to a whole new level. Better to just use a dos emulator and play the original.
Wish there were more games like this
Sometimes the old school games are more fun. Really needs the purchase (not too much) so you don’t have to keep on restarting from the beginning!

Decent adaptation
I wasn’t sure how well it would play on a touchscreen but it works well enough, certain movements are a little tricky to pull off. There is a bug that comes up sometimes where the enemies (and worse, their venom) freeze in place. You can shoot the enemy creature but the venom hangs there and if it happens in a corridor essentially ends your game as it stays put through respawns. It’s happened to me multiple times on level 6, and it’s pretty frustrating.
Otherwise if you liked Dave back in the old days, you’ll probably enjoy playing this!

Good experience, but...
In this game we have 2 variations of original Dave: “dos” and hd version. The main problem in “dos” is enemy’s-in original game they was programmed to shot in certain sequence, but in our version enemy’s “see” the player and shoot in him. The main problem in hd version-parallax background “jumping” when player move to the most right point in level.
Because of those problems I didn’t want to buy this game.
If you fix those problems, I be very happy.
But, again, the main idea in original game-to accept the challenge and beat this game without saves, I’d like to have the opportunity to off this option if I buy this game.

Glitch
There is a glitch on level 8 so it’s not worth to try because you can’t get passed level 8 . Level 8 is missing a jetpack in the beginning, I found out from YouTube video after struggling.

I remember playing this game as a kid! The only thing I don't care for in this game is the virtual touch controls. If Dangerous Dave had an option for Bluetooth controllers, I'd be playing it WAY more.

I had been searching for this game in AppStore ever since I have owned a tablet. Dangerous Dave has been one of my fav childhood games( lol PC days). So nostalgic!!!! Thanks so much again for making this game available. Can't thank you enough.
