Dark Chess+ is a unique chess game that uses Chinese Chess as its base but introduces a different rule where only higher-level chess can eat lower-level chess. You lose if all your chess is eaten or you cannot move.
The primary difference in Dark Chess+ is the capture mechanic. Instead of any piece being able to capture any other piece of equal or lesser rank, only higher-level pieces can capture lower-level pieces, adding a new layer of strategy.
The objective in Dark Chess+ is to avoid having all your pieces eaten or becoming unable to make any valid moves. The game is lost if either of these conditions is met.
Dark Chess+ is available on iPhone, iPad, and iPod devices.
Dark Chess+ is a paid application and costs $4.99.
Dark Chess+ was last updated on August 13, 2025, with version 5.60.
