Just one thing

Lemme start with wow. This game is amazing, the attention to detail is impeccable! It doesn’t even need internet! I only have one more personal problem with the game. I am unable to pass level XIX, and I have tried everything! With that said, I think this is easily one of the best games I have ever played. Not too scary, but easily terrifying! Good work!

Awesome

I love it like idk how to say it it’s awesome

Amazing

I love this game because I love horror escape games I like how they made it a little difficult
instead of being so easy and there’s no ads

moody, unsettling, immersive

Played this way back in 2015.

just searched for it again through my purchases because i have a big ole hankering for it, but didn’t remember the name.

so much fun- just the right amount of creep factor.

sound design is immaculate. i can still remember my kid imagination running wild as i would be making my own plot up along the way.

One of the scariest games out there

The sound effects alone will make the hair raise on the back of your neck. Just wish it had more levels. Otherwise it is just fantastic A+++

My favorite game since for ever

It the best game 💯

amazing

worth every penny

Cool and different

I really love the concept of the game. The levels are so fun and the sound effect work great! I love how this game is a lot different to other ones. The concept and looks are so different to other games. Keep up the great work devs!I recommend this a lot but it does make you rage. It’s still really cool!

Really great and then you get more!

Just finished the dark world, was sad when it was over, then they hit me with more levels!

Great scaling of challenge and horror. Love the thought process you need when taking on each level. Kudos!!

Rawr

Gotta say, his game is a must have.

Wish there was more and after you beat the game your foot steps looked different.

Pretty good

I’ve always been a fan of puzzle games and this goes along with the puzzle/horror category kinda like hello neighbour and escape room

Just Buy It

I remember when this game was free a while back I had it on another phone and I just couldn’t remember the name for some reason but I’m so happy I found it again although I had to pay for it this time

Sug. Check points, a story, perhaps more nuance in levels, some reward

Ok I’m gonna try to hand constructive criticism here.

Most pertinent issues...

The lack of checkpoints makes the game a bit frustrating and less scary over time. I find myself agilely and cleverly out maneuvering monsters or demon things only to do a misstep or clap by mistake and being sent right back to the beginning.

Also the instant transition after you die I feel sends the wrong message because this game is about slow and methodical movements most of the time, and it’s supposed to be scary. Perhaps you could let the player mellows in several scary sounds like after eating perhaps you can hear the body being dragged away, maybe a sharp bone snap before fading back to the beginning. Something to give newbies a fright and veterans time to rethink their strategy.

The controls make my fingers cramp after time. It is a bit frustrating, but idk how to fix them without changing all of them. Idk how hard it is to do iPhone controls.

Control suggestions that idk how work...

The most common method of travel sneaking involves quick tapping, unless you know there aren’t enemies or you know you won’t trigger them. Since you use sneaking more than you use walking perhaps you could make tapping running and sliding sneaking. Just a thought. It can get really frustrating when I want to sneak, but because my finger has been fatigued I end up clapping, which most likely guarantees an insta-death and being sent back to the beginning.

Throwing I feel can be the same thing. I’m not sure if throwing is encouraged or discouraged. If it’s supposed to be discouraged then perhaps you can have the player pick up a limited amount of stones I can imagine someone being freaked out because they realized they ran out of stones. If it is supposed to be encouraged then some more ergonomic controls would be nice or a method of aiming. It can be frustrating when a rock strikes a area where I didn’t want it to and get instakilled.

Other suggestions...

Also one thing I’d like to mention is that you sneak and throw rocks 95% of the time, unless you want to die. It gets irritatingly repetitive and frustrating.

It would be REALLY awesome if you could use environmental sounds to trigger enemies or if could enemies to trigger certain things when lured into doing so. Like if the enemies killed certain things right in front of the player that would extra spooky.

A story or reward would be nice, with stranger and witness, I thought there was going to be some story, but there wasn’t. I feel a bit cheated. I even played the light section thinking that perhaps there would be something unique about us being in light where we could in theory see. Adding some text at the bottom analyzing our character’s thoughts or what they can feel in the environment would go a long ways of growing our immersion or attachment or motivation to play the 80 levels within this game. It could even clear up confusion since I remember being confused when part of the map caved in or a monster was released because I was too noisy.

Even adding a map at the end would be a nice reward since you can trace out where you went or be like “oh so that’s where I was stuck,”

Verdict...

Anyhow I’m going to have to give this game a low rating because it got repetitive to me, had little payback for completing its levels, and wasn’t able to immerse me much beyond the (admittedly pretty good) sounds which kind of lost their power after being looped to me so many times.

Can I have my nerves back?

I’m on the ‘Labyrinth’ level My headphones turned up full. Each footstep echos in my head. Each time I let a large location echo go off it sounds like a whip crack in my headphones at full volume. My breathing sounds really loud as I lie in bed in my room with nothing but the strange white red and yellow lines bouncing over the screen, trying to show me where not to go. The strange sound of the ‘red means dead’ blobby lines on the screen making the atmosphere even more suspenseful.

The fact that this is all you get on the screen makes for a really great game. Some levels you walk quite purposefully, others more stealth is required. Same with the echos sent out. Really there’s no such thing as run in this game. It’s more walk very quickly in the opposite direction to the moving red thing on the screen. You will die at some point. On some levels this might happen more than once. This can be quite disconcerting as you only make footsteps. So hearing your character cry as he dies gets to you. At least it got to me.

This is one game I would definitely say needs headphones. At first I tried without then put them on. Having them gets you more immersed in the game. It’s well worth putting the time in for this game. I’m glad I picked it up.

OH MY!!

Seeing the footsteps of something chasing you is the worst. And hearing the sounds. All and all, a truly scary experience. Especially alone and in the dark!

I want my money back please 💵

Not what I expected (in a good way)

Holy heck, when I first saw this game on Chills I was like: “Lol this looks so boring, hahahaha” but when I actually played it I was like: “woah this game is so fun.”

Woah...

Ok, this is a horror game, but it’s disappointingly not that scary, but who cares? This game is absolutely amazing. It uses a great mechanic, has great sound, and is very, VERY hard at times. Really, the only thing that’s scary is the enemies. They sometimes come out of nowhere and and that causes you to panic and accidentally run right into them. Also, the death sound effect. Holy crap, the death sound effect. It starts with a scream, then you hear bones cracking, blood spattering, and chunks of flesh falling to the ground. It’s delightful. Sarcasm intended.
