Great game!
I love all the little extras, like the “blue tea”, and Felix. There are parable pieces in some scenes, if you want to find them all I suggest using the guide. There are also moon collectibles in every scene. I love the rich detail, and the mini games were fun. All of the Hops are FROGs, so if you don’t like those, then this game may not be for you. Also, some hops locations are repeated, so I recommend playing this game on “normal” difficulty instead of “hard”, because you get seahorse sparkles when a hop is active. The purple tide mentioned in the title is only really in the opening scene lol, don’t know why it’s in the title. True to the DP series, other characters from past DP games are referenced, which is nice. But don’t worry, it is not necessary to have played any of the others in order to play this one. Thoroughly enjoyable game! Real rating of 4.5 rounded up to make up for the low overall score when there were some glitches (I experienced none.)

Keeps glitching out
I’m only in chapter two and the game keeps glitching out right when I get back in. I’ve tried everything adnI get the same outcome. Give me a refund
Difficult!
I found this game to be difficult! I could never figure out where I was. I had to use hint to know where to go next. I play these games all the time, but this one has locations I found hard to find. Otherwise it has good graphics and mini games.

Great game, but crashes in chapter 2. I cannot progress any farther. There is no developer website, so I cannot get any support. I need a refund. ☹️

Enjoyable game the second time around but avoid this
The first time I tried to play this game ended in the game crashing. It wasn’t until then that I noticed others have had experience with the game crashing. I guess I didn’t check the reviews first. I started over and when I got to the point that the game was going to crash, I used hints to get me around the room that caused it last time and was able to finish the game. It’s a little annoying to have to do this. BTW, the area that caused the crashing issue for me was the area before the Eel Feeding area. Since Big Fish doesn’t appear likely to fix this game, I’d avoid it

I liked playing this game but I still prefer the Blue Tea Series
The game is awesome
I like it how it’s so hard and it is based on a story.Also a legend how it links into other fairytales like Pinocchio and the little mermaid. It also gives me a jump scare every time at the start!. But I don’t like it when BigFish uses internet to play it drives me crazy!

Good news: Eipix generally stuck to script, giving us a game about as good as the original Blue Tea series, enough for me to want to continue with Dark Parables entries.
Semi-good: the HO plays are a bit over the top, what with the addition of timed “ratings” (why? - no apparent reward status is provided regardless of performance) and fanfares, et. al.
Bad news: not so bad, but watch out for a glitch - the standard addition of a “Portal” within the game has been ceded to the hint button, where, when engaged to show direction, will produce a portal if you are more than two rooms away from your destination. DON’T USE IT! You will freeze the game and it will crash. Instead proceed to your next move room by room.
Morphing objects are now awards to parts of parables - if you miss one, you do not get to read them after you finish the game.

Crashed at the very last scene
This game should not be recommended for iPad users, if it is going to crash which renders it impossible to finish.
App keeps crashing, Big Fish soil blow you off
Once I purchased the app and reached level 3 the game keeps crashing. Restarting the iPad or app, re-installing the app, etc. didn’t help.
Requested help from Big Fish, received an email that contained the generic hints. No specific answer if I don’t take the „contact Apple for refund“ into account. 🙄🙄🙄

A little more than “meh”
This one was ok. A few glitches here and there but never got booted out. The story was fragmented... Sometimes confusing. I don’t like using hints and I gotta say there were so many scenes that I surrendered to the button quite a bit. BEST part? Finishing up both stories and getting to return and hunt down Souvenirs and missing moons. I like to complete the whole game.

Dark Parables Little Mermaid and the Purple Tide
Was enjoying this game till it kept crashing Crashes when you try to place the mouth piece on the horn AND when taking the book out of the stone eel’s mouth. Both are on the same screen. Very disappointing.
Halfway through and unplayable from crashing
Thankfully I bought this on sale because it is a complete waste of money. Developers have done nothing to fix the continual crashing. This is just lazy programming. I expected more from Eipix.
Hurry
Dark Parables and the awakening games are the only real adventure/hidden object games that I am truly in love with. I can’t wait for the new Dark Parable to come out. So, hurry! 😍
