Very disappointed. Doesn’t Work.
I downloaded this app with the hopes that I would be able to write about it for a school paper on multisensory performance. I was devastated to discover that it is the most poorly made app I have ever used. Everything takes a thousand years to load, and when things finally do they still don’t work. My wifi is not the issue, my connection is strong and everything else on my phone works perfectly fine. I was initially disappointed to see I had to pick a date and time to do the show, but I picked the date (only one option which was four days later) and waited it out. The time came, the timer to join hit zero, and the join button straight up didn’t work. I try joining on my laptop, and can’t even get past the login screen without it freezing. Such a disappointment because I really was excited to try this out and have heard great things about the in-person shows. But unless they can fix their servers, don’t waste your time.

The future of in home entertainment
I mean, wow. Just with some regular ear buds and my phone I can be mesmerized by the best binaural and Immersive audio I’ve ever heard. Who knew that was possible ! The possibilities seem endless and impressed this is now including multi-player interactivity and AI elements.
A big ask
I will be honest, in that I have not heard/participated in any of the “shows.” I downloaded the app because I love immersive audio experiences, and this intrigued me. But after downloading, it became apparent that the creators may not be in tune with the times.
Everything you can do is based on faith. Not in the religious sense, in that I had to create an account, had to enable notifications, just to get into the app itself. Once I got there, there were no past shows to listen to. The only option (other than a 3 minute audio test), was to buy tickets to an upcoming show (and there was only one), that I would also need a partner to buy a ticket for as well. And for $10?! Without past shows, I don’t even know what I’m paying for up front! And I the immense vast majority of people that listen to audio dramas like this do so alone. And I’m top of that, apparently it only airs at a set time? As if the creators haven’t been aware of regular TV losing customers to streaming and on demand services in droves because you can control when you consume content?
To sum it up, this looks like it’s the first review, and I imagine it’s because of similar experiences to mine. At least movies have trailers. I have no idea what you’re asking me to pay for when I can’t even listen when I want alone.
