Assuming the negative reviews are from people who haven't had the patience to experiment, nor remember Zarch/Virus of yore. Brings back some good memories, and whilst being a little twitchy is good fun. Impressive. :)
POTENTIAL !
Simplicity is Beautiful , it just needs a little more Development . . . Is it possible to remove the Advertising Bar ? ? ?
A few more Levels and some New Landscapes would Help .
Also the Animation Colors should be More intense , I can barely
see the Game Screen on My iPad ! ! - HD would be Very Nice !

Terrible on many levels
This is a really poor effort. The controls are unusable and non-intuitive. Also, ads are displayed near the centre of the screen. The App Store really needs some quality control.
Like Zeewolf
This game is a bit like Zeewolf on the Amiga.
I really enjoyed it but it does seem a tad unfinished.
Developer, check Zeewolf out and you'll see what you'll need to do to make this a retro 5 star game.
