App doesn’t work

The app has not worked for me to schedule rides for 4 months and despite multiple communications with Dart it has not been resolved.

Love the app

I love this app. It makes scheduling rides easy. Unfortunately since the update last week, when I scheduled rides it no longer gives me the arrival eta which I actually need. I have also noticed that since I started using this app at the beginning of march I have not been able to share my ride details. Also I’m just going to say this. If you add rides on the weekend I will one hundred percent use it. It would make it easier to get to work for me on Saturdays and Sundays. -Jennifer Wyman

Wonderful

Great service, so good that i hope the hours and territory gets extended and expands

Great service for people in Ankeny!

I’ve been using DART on Demand (both the service and this app) since DART started the program late last year, and it has been a godsend for people in this community! I relied heavily on the fixed route service when I lived in Des Moines, and Ankeny desperately needed their own public transportation service. Thankfully, this program has definitely filled that gap, and gone above and beyond what I could have hoped for!

The app works great most of the time, and it’s pretty intuitive if you’ve ever used a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft before! There have been some hiccups here and there in the last year, but those have always been on Via (the app developer)’s end, not on DART’s. Any issues have always been mitigated with a quick call to DART customer service; for instance, if I can’t schedule a ride, they’ll schedule it for me. If I can’t see my ride ETA, the customer service team is always willing to look up my ride and see where the driver’s at.

They’ve also recently introduced text message ETA updates, which really helps when the app isn’t quite caught up. Passengers get a text when the ride is 30 minutes away, 5 minutes away, and when the bus has arrived. If you schedule a ride at least a day in advance, you’ll also get a text reminding you of your scheduled ride about 10 hours beforehand.
