Agree with other users that have noted this app seems to be a scam. No way to unsubscribe and no real customer service. Would avoid.

Cancelled subscription, still charged, no reply

Despite reading the other review that you can’t cancel in-app, I tried a week of this service. I emailed on 28 June and 10 July with no response, and have been charged $51 AFTER my first cancellation request. Bank has advised I need to cancel this card - don’t bother trying the app.

No Subscription

This app is amazing, all though I would rate it a 5 but we don’t need a subscription. I think there should be no subscription because people have their own lives. They need to pay for house and food and groceries to even be able to use this app, I didn’t even pay for me, I only got a 3 day free trial. I am wondering why the subscription

Great but needs a few tweaks

App is gorgeous and really easy to use, but I would suggest a few things:

1. The ability to report things for inaccuracies
2. The ability to hide certain dishes from view
3. Filtering by cooking method/equipment (one-pot/stove/oven/microwave only). I know that the method is sometimes in the recipe title but a parameter when searching would be nice.
4. Greater adherence to dietary restrictions when suggesting recipes. Like any meal delivery service app, I think dietary restrictions set by the user should block all recipes with that allergen until changed in settings.

Wanted to like…

I really wanted to like this but things like making a grocery list took a long time, it wouldn’t “see” my meal plan for the next week, and when you asked for specific macro based meals it would offer only one, not several. Not deal breakers but won’t be worth paying for for me. And switching from grams to oz then would make liquid measures goofy…little things like that. Darn it!!!

SCAM - AI SLOP! RECIPES AND PHOTOD ARE AI GENERATED

THIS APP IS AI SLOP
I DOWNLOADED IT BECAUSE THE RECIPES, PHOTOS AND UI LOOKED BEAUTIFUL. It’s all fake- AI generated with no human oversight! This is MISLEADING AND MISREPRESENTED!!!!! Not mentioned anywhere that it’s AI! I only realised because I made a recipe ‘lemon garlic chicken’ and it had NO FLAVOUR NO LEMON NO GARLIC AND ONLY REALISED ITS AI AFTER THE FACT

A scam

There are hardly any recipes on the app and no way to cancel within the app. I emailed the contact email the day i paid for a discounted week trial that I wanted to cancel (5/23). They have since charged me weekly. I then emailed the second contact email i could find with no response. My bank has disputed every charge and I finally asked them to try and block the merchant. I have gotten two alerts in the last week that they have tried to charge me and Chase declined the charge.

STILL NO RESPONSE

I have emailed on numerous occasions over the last 3 weeks and received no response, despite you saying you take 5 working days to respond. I have continuously tried to delete my account but it still tells me there has been an error and to contact support. I am emailing the correct email address and have been every time. I want my subscription cancelled with immediate effect. I will continue to email and leave these reviews until this is actioned.

CAN’T CANCEL AFTEE FREE TRIAL

I downloaded the app after seeing an ad on instagram, I wanted to see if I’d like using the app first so used the trial. I didn’t want to continue after but it won’t allow you to cancel the subscription. Says error and asks you to contact support, which I’ve done on 2 occasions now, with no response and they are now charging me for the app!!!! This is unacceptable!!

Dumb

It’s annoying that this app is being promoted for great recipes, yet it literally does not work. I have not gotten past the login stage in this application. I have made many attempts to give it a chance and hope the glitch or bug or whatever the f is wrong with it to get fixed, but it has not been resolved like it has stated in other reviews. I would like to get refunded for the money that was taken out of my account for my “membership” since I signed up for a free trial and never even got to use the free trial.

Unable to cancel subscription

This app won’t allow me to cancel a paid subscription or delete my account. I have also tried to contact support multiple times and no one has responded.

Unable to cancel subscription

I was hopeful for this app but it makes it incredibly difficult to cancel your subscription or deactivate your account. They don’t even answer their emails which makes it even more sketchy.

Fake positive reviews also nothing for free

To use this app you have to pay, on tik tok it was advertised as a free app. Don’t fall for that.

First pledge - couldn’t slide it 🤦🏻‍♀️

I really wanted to love this, but after downloading, opening, & pressing Get Started, it didn’t work. I’m in an iPhone and where I’m supposed slide to pledge that I’m in on this journey, the slide button was not fully in-screen and would slide. So much for “starting”!!! Dead in the water before it’s begun. Too bad. Saw this advertised in the Reco app and felt excited - no more!

Recipe Revelation!

This app is absolutely brilliant. It’s like having your own personal chef that you can ask to create an amazing recipe just for you whenever you wish. No matter how simple or complex your request, Dashi will happily oblige by quickly providing a mouth-watering recipe with easy to follow instructions. You can of course save your favourites and share them with others. However, unlike other recipe apps, it has the unique ability to actually generate new recipes from scratch, and also to change or modify them in whatever way you might require. For an amateur cook like myself, often lacking inspiration, this has been a revelation. Highly recommended!
