About

DashTag Maps is the companion navigation app for DashTag, built specifically for vehicle enthusiasts who attend car meets, rallies, group drives, and automotive events. TURN-BY-TURN NAVIGATION Get reliable turn-by-turn directions powered by Mapbox. DashTag Maps provides clear voice guidance and visual cues to get you to your destination safely, whether it's a local Cars & Coffee or a cross-country rally. MULTI-STOP WAYPOINT ROUTING Plan routes with multiple stops. Add waypoints for fuel stations, scenic overlooks, or meetup points along the way. Reorder stops on the fly and share routes with your group. DEEP LINK INTEGRATION WITH DASHTAG Open routes directly from the DashTag mobile app. When an event organizer shares a route, tap to open it instantly in DashTag Maps with all waypoints pre-loaded. SIGN IN WITH YOUR DASHTAG ACCOUNT Use your existing DashTag account to sync saved routes and preferences. Or use the app as a guest for quick navigation without signing in. CARPLAY SUPPORT Keep your eyes on the road with full CarPlay integration. View your route, upcoming turns, and navigation instructions on your car's built-in display. BUILT FOR THE COMMUNITY DashTag Maps is designed for the way enthusiasts actually drive. Whether you're leading a convoy to a car show, following a rally route, or navigating to an unfamiliar event venue, this app has you covered. PRIVACY FIRST Your location data stays on your device. DashTag Maps only shares your position when you explicitly choose to during events. No background tracking, no data selling. WORKS OFFLINE Downloaded routes continue to work even without cell service. Navigate confidently through rural areas and mountain passes where signal is spotty. GET STARTED Download DashTag Maps and connect it to your DashTag account. Browse upcoming events in the DashTag app, and when you find one with a route, tap to open it directly in DashTag Maps. DashTag Maps is free to download and use. Some features require a DashTag account.

What's New in DashTag Maps

1.13.0

July 30, 2026

Big update to navigation, drives, and location sharing. NAVIGATION • A next-stop ETA bar keeps your very next stop front and center, replacing the whole-route banner. • A new navigation stops drawer shows each stop's ETA and lets you add or remove stops, see who can see you, and end the route. • Choose your route style — fastest, standard, curvy, or scenic — and avoid highways or tolls. • Resuming navigation opens your route steps first, so you can add your current location or skip stops you've already passed instead of routing back to the start. • Fit-to-route now frames your entire remaining drive while you navigate. DRIVES • Create a standalone drive with your own join policy, share it by QR code or a rotating drive code, and extend the session on the fly. • Approve who joins with a host roster and shareable grant links — pending joiners wait for your OK before they can see the drive or share their location. • Join a drive with a 6-digit code: preview the route and event on the map, then start turn-by-turn in one tap. Drive links (thedashtag.com/d/…) open right in the app too. • Leave a group drive anytime — stepping out no longer ends it for everyone, so you can hop into a different session. • Drive sessions now use an optional "End Session at" time instead of a fixed duration, and no longer end on their own after a few hours. LOCATION SHARING • Share your location scoped to a specific event, filter who you see on the map, and switch which car you're driving on the fly. • A "Who can see you?" audience picker — Everyone at the event, Friends only, or Inner circle — changeable while sharing, with auto-share to friends when you join a drive. • A stepped "Share your location" flow (how to share → pick event → who can see you), plus a top-nav location-sharing status icon. MAP • A cleaner map while you drive: all layers (events, people, vehicles, sightings, shops) on by default with labels off, plus quick controls to show fellow drivers for this event, your drive, or everyone. • See nearby shops on the map by default — tap a pin for details. ALSO • Manage your account without leaving the app — update your name, username, phone, email, and security settings from the More menu. FIXES & POLISH • Event dates on the map now read like "Sun, Sep 6 at 5:00 PM" instead of a raw timestamp. • The "Who can see you?" row correctly shows "Not sharing" or "Paused" and reflects your live audience; the drive-session sheet is cleaner and scrolls so nothing clips. • Tapping "Share location" opens the sharing sheet instead of immediately sharing, and shared route links no longer include your current location. • The vehicle picker no longer lists sold vehicles, and join-by-code previews show route stats again. • The drive HUD and sharing pill are clearer, long event names stay on screen, and shop pins show as a clean circular logo. • Plus behind-the-scenes reliability improvements and new crash reporting.
