Ironically one of the best things for this app is to give it to a friend. If you tried to talk to a friend but they’re too smitten to see the immense red flags in the person they’re dating you can just hand over your phone and have a good laugh as the app does the thinking for you. Or even for self analysis, it’s pretty eye opening having your flaws as a partner so you can correct them.

A great idea for modern times. Gone are the days where the people around you would know the person you’re dating and could offer some helpful insights. I think one of the other reviewers suggested that the app is like a friend who asks difficult questions and prompts you to think more carefully about things you’d ordinarily gloss over. The psychological insights are great as they offer an explanation for behavior you might have had a gut feel about but were unable to explain exactly why it “felt a bit off”.

This app helps to keep you in check with your emotions and is like a friend who makes sure you don’t decide irrationally by asking questions but ,Unlike a friend , does this without judging. DateShield is an excellent app for anyone and everyone in the dating scene, as well as those who are not. The questions are thought-provoking, insightful, and helpful when contemplating any type of relationship, particularly those that are romantic. I especially appreciate the feedback and things to look out for in potential partners. Sometimes those gut feelings that make me wonder about someone are addressed, which I appreciate.
I also love the journaling feature, as it’s helpful to keep track of the little things that happen that may slip my mind, but ultimately end up being major red flags down the road, especially when taken all together.

The app guides you through recapping dates, asks questions to identify negative behavior patterns, keeps a running “score” of these behaviors, and even explains what harm may come from the behaviors.
It gives you the time and space you need to reflect on a date and think through how compatible you are and what actions you saw after the warm and fuzzy buzz of excitement wears off.
