What's New in Daub

4.0

October 8, 2026

Daub 4.0 — our biggest update yet. • Five new cards. Instant, set in real photo scenes. Film, a matte titanium card in wallet size that spins. Chip, a paper chip with stickers. Block, with sunlight moving across it. Receipt, a thermal print with a photo booth strip. • 11,000+ color names, matched the way the eye sees. • Extra-vivid colors: Daub now reads the wide (Display P3) colors your iPhone captures — in photos, palettes and the live camera. • Light check: when a photo has warm lamp light or blue shade, fix it with one tap. • Color combinations from Sanzo Wada's Dictionary of Colour Combinations (1933), as posters, right under every color you pick. • One camera: point it at anything and the name changes as you move. Take it, and it becomes your card. • New tabs: Home, Cards, +, Paints, Me. • Card only: save just the card, ready for your story. • A diary in color: note how the day feels with one tap when you keep a color. Your month shows your colors and your feelings, side by side. Wednesdays bring a feelings prompt. • Painter's eye: see any photo in only your paints (tap to read the mix), as values (grey, 5, 3, 2 steps), or through other color vision. • Clearer and kinder: simpler words, a four-step tour with tips where you need them, and "how to mix it" for any color you copy. Recipes now come for paper or for screen. • Saved cards now follow your language.
