STILL Not Clear How to Play...
Update: Thanks, Developer, but now that I have found the "tutorial", I have to say that it not only lacks depth but it's also woefully incomplete and without any narrative like a step-by-step set of instructions. While this may be fine for many would-be players (smarter than me), it doesn't cut the mustard. Frankly, with due resect, it's useless. During the past 18 years of playing hundreds of iOS games this is one of the few that I have downloaded that really does desperately need a better guide/tutorial to help new players. My next step will be to look online for a real, user-friendly tutorial -- wish me luck🤞 ********************Original Review: I'm giving this app a tentative three "charity" stars but without having played it since it's unclear how to play and the game apparently has no instructions or help option, so, for now Dave will have to fix it or I'll just be sad...

Hi there, thanks for checking out DWG! The game does have a tutorial, which should show up the first time you play the Daily mode. If you skip it you can access it again by choosing "Tutorial" from the drop down menu.

Dave’s Word Game features an ingenious mix of wordplay and strategy. I find myself replaying each day’s challenge to improve my score. Highly recommended!
Pretty fun word game
I love that you can replay the same daily board, so it doesn't feel like you are "wasting" your chance to get on the daily leaderboards!
