Day, On Earth

Day, On Earth tells you how today will feel, in a sentence. "Cloudy but dry till 8 PM, then rain." No hourly tables to decode. The day is described the way you would describe it to a friend: in its parts, morning to evening, with the weather words gently coloured so you can take it in at a glance. Under the sentence, one practical line: "Bring an umbrella: rain from 8 PM." "Sunglasses for the way home." "Layers you can peel." Just the one thing worth knowing before you go out. AFTER 4 PM, TONIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING From 4 PM the sentence covers the evening, the night and tomorrow morning, with a short look at the whole of tomorrow underneath. "Clear and dry till midnight, rain after. Bring an umbrella: rain from midnight." HONEST WHEN IT MATTERS Everyday sentences are calm and kind. When the weather turns dangerous, the tone changes: plain, serious words, the official warning and where it comes from. Severe-weather warnings are always free.
