Never Miss What Matters Most 🗓️✨
It has beautiful widgets for your home and lock screen.
It also features AI that creates the perfect background for your countdown.
With DayDrop, I never have to worry about missing the moments that matter most.
Love the countdown, but needs larger font!
However, I noticed that on the home screen widget, only the days and hours are currently visible (as seen in my screenshot). It would be perfect if the minutes and seconds could be added there as well.
Also, it’s very important for me to have the remaining time displayed in a very large font—having an option to adjust the font size would be a fantastic addition.
Finally, I’d love the ability to use AI to generate specific background images by requesting styles or colors (I personally love pink!). It would also be great if the images could be displayed in their entirety on the widget without being cropped. Keep up the great work!
Response from developer
Thank you so much — this kind of detailed feedback is exactly what helps me make DayDrop better for everyone, and I want you to know I read every word. I'm really glad you'll like what's in the next update (v1.6.0, rolling out now): Adjustable font size — There's now a Number Size setting (S, M, L, XL) under Settings, plus a per-event override when you tap Edit. So you can crank a specific countdown up to XL and have it dominate your home screen. Live preview as you change it. AI backgrounds with your own style and colors — You can now type a custom mood like "pink watercolor" or "soft pink pastel" when generating an image, and the AI will actually honor it. There are also quick mood presets (watercolor, photoreal, dreamy, etc.) if you don't want to type. Uncropped widget images — There's a new Fill / Fit toggle on each event, plus a drag-and-pinch crop sheet so you can position the image exactly how you want it on the widget. No more unwanted cropping. Minutes and seconds on the widget — This one I want to be honest with you about. The widget already shows a live ticking H:MM:SS counter for events within 7 days that have a specific time set (so if you've added a time like 5:00pm to your event and it's coming up this week, you should see seconds counting down). For events further out than a week, Apple unfortunately doesn't let widgets refresh every second — it's a battery-life decision on their end, not something I can override. But within that 7-day window, the per-second countdown is there. Thanks again for being so generous with your feedback — it genuinely shapes where I take the app next. Hope v1.6 lands well for you!
Finally, a countdown app that stays out of the way
The Dynamic Island support is a game changer. I can see hours left for a deadline without even unlocking my phone.
