Lost its purpose after update
I have purchased the bundle for the old functions for the most part if not entirely.
I am very disappointed that I lost my purchase in the process of you updating the App.

I’m sorry the redesign gave you the impression that your purchase and the original features were lost. They were not. As an owner of the previous version, you automatically receive “Veteran” status. This includes all features from the original app, plus the new design, widgets, reminders, Apple Watch app and complications, AR, Solar Compass, and Solar Map—all at no additional cost. Simply switch the app mode to ‘Astro Classic’ in the settings and you’ll see the same data as before. The app offered you this option when you first launched it after the update. Only the new weather-based forecast of the actual end of usable daylight requires a subscription. If the app is not recognizing your Veteran status, please contact me so I can help resolve it.

Was my favorite app.
This application went subscription only and there was no option to restore or grandfather in purchases for original users.
Now I have to find another application.

I’m delighted that you’ve been a happy user for so many years. I truly value everyone who purchased the original app, which is why all existing users automatically receive “Veteran” status. This gives you all the features of the original app at no additional cost, plus the modern design, widgets, reminders, Apple Watch app and complications, AR, Solar Compass, and Solar Map—all included in the price you originally paid. The only feature not included in Veteran mode is the new weather-based forecast of the actual end of usable daylight. You therefore do not need a subscription to continue using all the original features and many new ones. I believe this is a fair way to thank and support our long-standing users, so I’m sorry that this misunderstanding resulted in a one-star review. I hope you’ll reconsider your rating once you’ve had a chance to explore everything included in Veteran mode. Michal Kůs

Dabei war es mir wichtig, die App weiterhin klar, einfach und ohne unnötigen Ballast zu halten – genau das, was Sie damals so geschätzt haben. Vous aviez tout à fait raison : un bug empêchait l'ajout de nouvelles villes, et l'application donnait malheureusement l'impression de ne plus être maintenue. Je suis désolé pour cette situation. Depuis, DayLight.One a été entièrement repensée et modernisée. La recherche de lieux a été reconstruite, le problème a été corrigé et l'application est de nouveau activement développée. Si vous avez l'occasion d'essayer la dernière version, je serais ravi de connaître votre avis. Et si elle répond désormais à vos attentes, je vous serais très reconnaissant d'envisager de mettre à jour votre évaluation. Merci beaucoup !

We’re sorry the new design isn’t to your taste. Perhaps you miss the original single-page view showing all the information at once. Based on user feedback, we’ve brought it back in version 3.0.3, coming very soon. Regarding the price, the app was never offered for free. Users who purchased it previously retain all original features permanently, at no additional cost. They also receive reminders, widgets, augmented reality, the sun map, Apple Watch support, complications, and other features the original app never offered. We believe this is a fair approach, and we truly value our longtime users.

We truly value our longtime users. Everyone who previously purchased the app keeps all original features for free—and also receives reminders, widgets, AR, the sun map, Apple Watch app, complications, and more. Forever, with no subscription required. If your purchase wasn’t recognized, please contact us so we can restore your access. We would never ask existing users to pay again for features they already purchased.

Thank you for your feedback. I truly value my longtime users and would never want to force them into a subscription. If the app recognizes you as a user of the original version, it automatically enables “Veteran Mode,” giving you all the features you previously had for free, plus many improvements. I’ve also received several requests to bring back the single-page overview, so I’m preparing it for the next update, due within the next few days.

Erkennt die App Sie als Nutzer der ursprünglichen Version, aktiviert sie automatisch den „Veteranenmodus“. Damit stehen Ihnen weiterhin alle bisherigen Funktionen ohne Abonnement zur Verfügung – zusätzlich zu zahlreichen Verbesserungen, die die alte Version noch nicht hatte.

Since then, DayLight.One has been completely redesigned and modernized. The issue has been resolved, and the latest version fully supports 2026 and future dates. Seitdem wurde DayLight.One komplett überarbeitet und modernisiert. Das Problem ist behoben, und die Ortssuche funktioniert in der aktuellen Version wieder zuverlässig. Falls du der App noch einmal eine Chance gibst, würde ich mich sehr über dein Feedback freuen. Hi, Thank you for taking the time to report this issue. You were absolutely right — the location search had stopped working correctly, and the app could even crash when entering a location. I'm sorry for the frustration that caused. Since then, DayLight.One has been completely redesigned and modernized. The location search has been rebuilt, the crashes have been fixed, and the app is now actively maintained again. If you have a chance to try the latest version, I'd love to hear what you think.
