Logout Issues
Please correct the issue that is causing this app to continually logout iPhone users. The app loses much of its utility when patrons can no longer rely on it for their electronic library card, because you have to keep the physical card with you at all times in order to constantly log back in to the app. Multiple DML librarians have confirmed to me that this is a widespread issue, with many complaints from patrons, so I’m not sure why this ongoing issue has not been addressed.

Previous due date info on hold copies now missing
I miss the old versions of this app where I could see the due dates of each copy of each library book that is out when I place a hold on that book. Knowing about how long I have to wait for that copy helps me decide whether to use another source, like Libby or buying the book, or whether I can wait it out. Since this app update, that feature was removed and it’s now a complete mystery if the copy you’re waiting for is due in 1 day or due in 6 weeks.

LOVE ❤️ Dayton Metro Library App
I have been using this app for months, and I can't think of a single thing to even improve it, much less complain about! We're heavy library users, and the app is flawlessly making our Requests, Searches, My Lists, etc. effortless to execute and maintain. A nice extra are the digital library cards. Even the layout is clear and easy to use. Info about the various branches is quickly accessible too. It's better in numerous ways than Libby and Overdrive apps. Our family loves this app. Please don't change a thing! 😍

Only half-working
There is no longer a way to back out of the different menu options. You have to get back to home and start over. So if you want to make a search, you need to redo it from scratch if you click on a book from the results. And now today, the search no longer works all. Says there is issue on their end.

Was amazing now not so much
Worked so well for so long but lately it’s been crashing a lot and now when you choose a book to look at in the catalog the option to hit the return button doesn’t work
Servers down, blames the user
Your app should be able to recognize an internal problem when your servers are down. Don’t tell the user their device can’t connect to the Internet and to move to an area with better reception.
Your servers have been down for 2 hours that I know of and apparently no one in IT is notified when there’s a problem after hours to remotely login and fix the app and website. Your authentication servers are “overwhelmed” according to OverDrive so I can’t check out my ebook holds tonight before they expire.
Otherwise my opinion of the app is it’s only good if I quickly want to see what I have checked out and it’s due date.

A working library app?
I’ve been using this app for about a month, and it’s shocking to me to see such a well built app for a library. Every feature I’ve gone to use in this app works, and I haven’t hit a glitch or hiccup yet! Highly recommend!
Great App
I use this app all the time & it works great! I like the fact that I can go into the library without my card & use this app to checkout! I recommend it to anyone who uses the library on a weekly basis.
Log out by update
Tell me why do I have to newly sign in every time update this app ? Why can’t it used the previously saved info?

They’ve updated the app, and now it actually works! You can search the catalog, reserve, renew, it holds onto your card number... it’s simple, BUT IT ACTUALLY WORKS. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Worst of the Worst
Extremely disappointing. I deleted this app within the first two minutes of downloading it, as it is completely useless and should be removed from the App Store. I gave it one star because I could not post my review with ZERO stars; however, zero is what it is worth!
No Library Card
Seems obvious that you’d include something as basic as your library card barcode in this app, but it’s missing. Or, possibly not easily accessible. Was hoping this could save me from having to carry my library card around. Otherwise it’s a decent app. Definitely needs some work.
Great app for library basics
Great app for performing basic library functions such as searching the catalog and placing reservations. Need to edit app description as the renewing function doesn’t work but otherwise great app!
App doesnt work
I don’t really understand why they wont update this app. There are so many issues. From it not showing all the items search for to not renewing selected items. It is very buggy and no one seems to care. don’t download this app.
Not good
I just started using the library and the app is completely useless. I just deleted it because of how outdated it is. Every time you try to renew a book, it just takes you to the log in screen again. With the younger generations being tech savvy, you need to have a good app if you want younger ones to continue using the library. I have never wrote a review for an app before and this is my first one because of how bad it is. PLEASE get a better app.

Great app but....
It won't let me renew anything from the app. I love being able to look up my account history and reserve things. I also like that it has links to Overdrive and Hoopla but I wish I could renew books. It just keeps looping through the log in screen over and over.
Orphaned App
The app is very buggy and glitchy, and the library seems to have abandoned support and development. Slow, constantly kicks you out, and the features are not strong. It's a shame, because it could be a great product for library patrons, but obviously it fell prey to budget woes. It doesn't appear to have been well-built to begin with, and the complaints from a year ago haven't been fixed. Too bad.

Not working for couple weeks
Called library, apparently there was an upgrade a couple weeks ago. They know of no problem, but since upgrade, app doesn't function for reserving or some searching. Terrible.
