Good

Very good wish everything was free tho

doesn’t put an annoying watermark or have ads, you have to pay for some of the cameras but there are still lots that you don’t have to, very happy☺️

The best app for the iPhone

This app is hands down the best app for the iPhone. I use it more often than my normal camera. The photos are damn near perfect.

scam

I purchased Dazz, now it directs me to another app to finish photo editing and I need to pay again

Perfect

This camera app is straight forward, had great features, and is such an upgrade from the regular iPhone camera.
Been using for 3 years and haven’t turned back!!

I love this app!!

This app literally has only one thing about that about it and that’s if you have to pay money for some of the videos, but that’s really normal like literally I love this happen makes everybody and every single photo photogenic. I compared it with normal photos and there’s obviously difference this is an awesome app. If you’re considering getting this app do it right now it is literally so good. I love it.

Get this app instead of a digital camera!

This is such a great app! if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on a digital camera this is a great alternative! it’s free and you can take pictures that make it look like u took them with a digital camera!

Hate

I just hate it I don't have access to photos

Great

Works well- I recommend the CPM35 and the CT2F for a good warm tone and cool tone filter.

Best camera app I’ve ever paid for

Been using Dazz Cam for 6+ years now and I can truly say it’s my favourite camera app on iOS. Dazz was already good but the addition of the R (raw?) series cameras was an insanely OP upgrade. The R cameras completely bypasses Apple’s awful-looking image processing pipeline, making for images that don’t look like they came from a phone camera, free of the over-sharpening and bad-HDR look that’s a dead giveaway of iPhone photos. I love that you can get an image with tasteful film emulation, without having to custom edit a RAW (like using a cumbersome Halide + Lightroom workflow). The flexibility of the pseudo-RAW “film negative” where you can tweak white balance, exposure, and others is so insanely powerful.

On top of all that you also get some really fun novelty cameras and great video effects. ALL THIS in one perpetual one-time fee. You just don’t get good software like this anymore!!!

One wish: with FQS, I wish you could toggle on/off the low-light effect, change the zoom, and get tap-to-focus. I get that it’s meant to closely emulate a disposable film camera (and I love how accurate the look gets, letting images go to fully dead shadows with lots of noise), but the actual base “filter” is so nice-looking (vibrant, punchy, but still tasteful) that I wish the camera could also be used more flexibility. Maybe a toggle that turns on/off an “authentic” mode where you get the full emulation (low light noise included), but also a “modern” mode where you get flexibility and custom control. You can ALMOST get around the auto low-light mode by creating a custom profile with 0 low-light dialled in, but then that also locks the exposure since they’re in the same module. I love FQS so so much and this improvement would make it even better!

A few more wishes:
- Auto-backup system, perhaps tied into iCloud Drive or Google Drive. Even if the backed up images are stripped of the film negatives.

- Photos currently export out of capture order. The photos themselves have the proper date/time metadata attached but they export out of order into the photos app, which is slightly annoying.

- FXN that doesn’t over-expose QUITE so much. Having to always dial in a permanent -3 exposure adjustment is a bit annoying

- Highlights/shadows adjustment in ALL the cameras, including FQS. As well as the highlights/shadows being tied into the image processing, allowing for actual detail recovery. Currently, it seems like it happens POST exposure adjustment so if highlights are clipped by the exposure, even if there’s highlight info in the actual negative, they’re still clipped and can’t be recovered by the highlight slider. Maybe the same with curves actually. Both highlights/shadows and curves interacting better with the actual film negative data instead of happening AFTER the exposure adjustment would be amazing.

- Sliders to adjust the effect amount in all the cameras. I like the full emulation look with full colours, contrast, and grain, but individual sliders to dial all of them back just a bit would be great. Especially grain so that I can get slightly more detail in more grainy cameras like FQS, especially for more “archival” photos where I don’t want QUITE as much film grain.

Anyway, thanks Dazz team for all the great work in making a flexible yet fun camera app with enough constraint to allow for great images without too much thinking but enough tools under the hood to tweak the images to taste. Also, we REALLY appreciate the constant updates and feature upgrades. Always such a pleasure to open the app and see the new changelogs. Love all the updates to OFM as well as the new FXN 2 profile!!!!
