Good app but needs more
The app is okay you can see what the db is but the app doesn’t tell you if the incoming sound is from the microphone or your Mac itself the app is pretty basic.

Doesn't work
Despite giving this app microphone permissions, it didn't detect any sounds. Whether played on my computer or made in the same room. Just doesn't work ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The app requires microphone permission to capture real-world sounds, but it won’t detect system audio (sounds played directly from your computer).
