Needs work

Using picker wheels to enter a 6-character grid is clumsy. This app really needs a keyboard feature. Also does not rotate on the screen as my iPad is rotated as any normal app would.

Highly recommended

This app is very handy when you want to know the distance and bearing between two points when you have their Maidenhead grid squares. I used the earlier app for years but the neat location setting option and the map are great upgrades.

Communistic metric

Not designed to be used in the United States, couldn't find a settings button to switch to miles instead of this communistic metric crap.

Response from developer

The United States contest (ARRL Microwave) that this App is used and was written for, scores contacts in kilometers not miles. I decided that if I allowed the program to display miles then it would be likely that someone would enter miles for their score instead of kilometers. If for example you made a 161 kilometer microwave contact and forgot that you were displaying miles, you would score the contact as 100 points instead of 161. So, that’s why I decided to not have miles conversion in my free App.

Can't seem to find V in prefix ?

Response from developer

This App is for calculating distance and bearing using grid squares (Maidenhead)...not for looking up international call signs. That's why there no V. Maidenhead two digit prefixes go from AA-RR in the first two digits.

Supporting a fellow ham!

Great little app surely more great features to come!
