Shabin The Great, I understand your frustration at not being able to use the app. I would be upset too. I think it's a great app. Upon investigation I found that on iPhones running iOS 18, version 1.4.1 crashes on launch. The reason is that I rewrote the app in native Swift instead of a web view to improve performance across the board. I thought I had tested it thoroughly, but I hadn't tested it on iOS 18. That's on me, and it's something I'll do better moving forward. You pointed out a bug that would otherwise have been invisible to me, and for that I am grateful. I realize now that you are, truly, Shabin The Great. A fix is out in version 1.4.2. I hope updating gets you back on track.

The essential tool for DC transit commuters
The app is an absolute game-changer for navigating the DC area. I love the clean, Metro-themed aesthetic, and it is brilliant how it displays times exactly as they appear on station platforms. The ability to geolocate and instantly show information for the nearest station makes it incredibly useful for someone like me who combines cycling with transit. Being an independent project built with WMATA data, it is a well-deserved five-star tool. If you rely on the Metro, you need this app.

Great app
The app is great with the feature of knowing the next train time with a single click. I was at Dulles airport and I could plan my walk to metro based on the time. Definitely recommend for users who take metro.

This app is exactly what I needed! I used to have a bunch of shortcuts to Metro’s next train pages for various stations that I frequently use, but those quit working with Metro’s new website redesign. The new site is slower and requires so many clicks to get to the same station ETA details. This app is clean, simple, and quick to use. Just tap a station on the system map to see upcoming train times. No clutter, no trip planner that I don’t need because I already know where I’m going; just a fast, easy way to get to the estimates for each station with a clean, appealing design. I love it!

Very intuitive!!
The metro map is one of the best parts of the app in addition the real time widgets. It’s so easy to choose the different stations! Also, no bloat or ads.

The only app you need!
For years, I have lamented that the dc metro does not have a single app that does it all — provide metro times in a simple interface that doesn’t require 5 minutes of scrolling through stations or clicking through ads. Enter DC Metro ETA. It’s a beautiful, clean interface that uses the metro map that we all know and love. No scrolling to find stations, no glitchiness, no ads. Just pure convenience. This is incredible!!

Great App keeping it simple.
I just downloaded/installed and I like it. It’s a no-nonsense app that does the job telling you when your next train will be there with accurate clear ETA mirroring the displays at stations. There’s talk about doing this for buses too but that best goes with its own app. Metro trains and the buses are different animals.

With the addition of the widget, this is has become a super valuable addition to my screen. At a glance, I see what trains are closest, and can make a decision to hurry up, or be leisurely.

Use it daily
Ever since the wmata site updated to make it take multiple clicks to get to a station and also removed train lengths, I was getting so frustrated not being able to see the status as I walked in. This brings that back, and also defaults to your nearest station, which makes total sense since I only check it when I’m walking to/waiting in a station. I’ve already recommended it to several people!
