Thanks for your work keeping those who have passed in our present. This is the first thing I check in the morning. It’s like the Pete Seeger song: “ I get up each morning and dust off my wits, open the paper and read the obits, if I’m not there I know I’m not dead, so I eat a good breakfast and go back to bed”. Scott is the best at what he does.

I love this site. Went on the Dearly Departed tour last year with Scott. It was awesome. He has so much information.

Very Good History
This app is excellent for noting a famous person’s passing on the given day. Great source of history. However, it needs a proofreader as there are typos in many of the entries.

I got this app after hearing about it on the podcast and I love it. I have always found death terrifying, but fascinating. Thanks for a great app, Scott!
I noticed an incorrect date on Louis Armstrong and did not see a way to report it other than here. It said he was 69 when he passed, but the death date of 7/6/41 that is listed would make him 39. Maybe in future updates you could add a way to report issues. I hope I’m not coming off as a jerk. I just feel like with the respect you obviously have for these celebrities you would want to be alerted of a problem so it can be fixed.
