About

Debris Protocol is a modern arcade space shooter in the classic tradition, rebuilt for players who want the chaos to mean something. Fly your ship, line up your shot, and blast objects apart. The timeless hook is intact: destroy a big object and it splits into smaller, faster ones, so clearing a threat briefly makes the screen more dangerous before it gets better. The twist is that the debris is not just rocks. Every object has a type, and the types interact: - Explosive detonates on destruction, setting off everything near it. The primary cascade starter. - Crystalline shatters into a spray of fast fragments. High score, high chaos. - Magnetic pulls nearby debris toward it. Set up a grouped chain. - Icy slows and briefly freezes what is around it. A control and timing tool. Every screen is a small puzzle. The skill is firing order and positioning: pop the explosive first and an entire cluster clears in one cascade; pop it last and you waste the chain. Land it right and Metal-rendered debris erupts across the screen, the screen shakes, and the combo counter cannot keep up. Two seconds of beautiful chaos before the field resolves into a huge multiplier. Built with an Apple Metal renderer: breaking a large object spawns real fragment bodies, and a pooled particle system drives the debris and glow. A reduced-effects mode keeps things smooth on older devices and respects Reduce Motion. Plays great with a keyboard on Mac, touch on iPhone, and a game controller on iPad and Apple TV. The first 30 levels of Orion are free. Keep flying across ten 100-level Sectors: unlock the rest of Orion, or all of Lyra, Aquila, Cygnus, Draco, Perseus, Andromeda, Hydra, Carina, or Vela with separate one-time purchases behind a parental gate — no subscriptions or consumables. Designed for kids and completely private: no ads, no accounts, no data collection, and it works fully offline.
