Good effects but…
The app was priced at a very affordable price and they didn’t offer some weird subscription fee everyone does and it’s ridiculous so that is great. I love the variety of effect. However, the effects are way too random to be used unless you have a very well thought creative process and you’re a professional, you will not find use of this app. Wish they added some sort of tutorial or examples of what you can achieve with the app.

I have had a version of this app ever since my iPhone 5? I’m running it on my iPhone 15. Can anyone tell me with my iPhone 15 it is a 48 megapixel sensor but when I use the camera with the Decim8 app.
Is the image the 448 megapixel or is it downsized and if so, what are the dimensions. The website doesn’t have a section for support or at least it doesn’t work.

Heartbreaking
Wow I’ve had this app for a very very long time. Just migrated to the new phone. ALL MY PRESETS ARE GONE. Years of presets id created and refined. Wiped clean. No support for this app. I think it’s finally dead to me.
Bring old versions back
The old versions created way more interesting results. Not sure what happened but if anyone knows how to go back to like 3.0 version, please let me know.

Used to work great
I loved using this app as part of my workflow up until a a couple months ago when it stopped saving images. When I save an image now, it’s just black. It’s also started crashing when attempting to save. Totally useless now but it was a fantastic app to use. Rating of 4/5 for when it worked but now it’s a 0/5 as it no longer works. I hope the developer can provide an update.

Fav app for years
It's been my favorite app for maybe ten years now? I'm a former graphic designer, and I still use it to this day for personal projects. iPad + iPhone
It allows me to have lots of randomness and stunning dirty textures without any hassle. I wouldn't be able to create without it anymore. In combination with Procreate, I go very, very far. Thank you very much for my secret weapon.

2024 Mostly Just Crashes at this Point
When you try to save an image. But pretty cool when it worked.

I love this app. It’s really improved. I used to have some issues saving, but no more. I really enjoy using it, and by being surprised by the random effects!

I’ve loved this app for 4+ years now, to this day it remains my absolute faaaaaavorite photo editing app even tho I miss the old layout!! Such a fun way to create instant inspiration, strangeness and new perspectives with any image. Sometimes I use the app to transform photos of my art into even better visual pieces. DECIM8 is an indispensable creativity tool, I can’t recommend it enough!!

Why are some effects gone?
Been using this app since it came out on iPod , but why is polybomb there now and not the others from before?…I heavily incorporate those into my art and would really appreciate if you brought those back, foldrap5 and you are also don’t work at all

Man what a surprise it was to see Decim8 had been updated. It’s been years since I had used. This was my favorite photo-tweaking app from the start. It’s like finding a long-lost friend again ha ha.
Layout is great.
Image quality is greatly improved from the last I remember.
Regarding effects, I had stopped using some years ago when the app had been updated with new features but caused the effects to become subpar. There is a definite improvement now. I’m still working on achieving the the kind of results I used to get though. It will be interesting to see if it’s possible. It may be a matter of rediscovering those synergistic custom combinations again. And, of course, I’m itchin’ to go all mad scientist with those new effects...

Of all the glitch apps (I’ve downloaded most of them), this is one of the ones that has been around the longest and is still the best one the App Store has to offer. Although the updates have been a bit haphazard as far as timing, the results have almost always been worth the wait. I’m impressed with the amount pf customization the dev has added to this program and that is what really makes this app stand apart from all the others.
A couple suggestions for the dev:
I have found myself on several occasions, taking the time to rearrange the order of my effect settings, only to have them randomly reset themselves if I use the “random” peramiters/effects” buttons on the main page. This is really annoying! I would love to see some way to rearrange the effects in a way that they would remain in the order I have chosen regardless of how I decide to use the effects unless I purposefully change their order myself.
My biggest suggestion is this last one:
Please create a setting that allows one to “turn off” glitch effects one doesn’t like. There are two or three glitch effects I’ve never used, and for whatever reason, I just don’t like the results they provide. It’s frustrating having to turn them off every time they get chosen in a random setting. It seems like being able to disable/delete a setting would be an easy tweak to the program since deleting is currently an option for the effects we add ourselves.
I’m so glad this app is still getting updates! Most of my apps as old as this one have gone by the wayside, so I’m happy to see this one has not joined many of the others in the “no-update” trash bin.

Where is this "great update," that was promised OVER A YEAR ago...

This developer has a bad record of waiting for (very) long periods of time before releasing an update that allows the user to forget how long they were waiting for said update (the current update I'm referring to here was promised prior to the release of iOS 7??). It could be worse, but I'd probably hesitate before investing in another one of their apps due to the "consistent inconsistencies..."
Kind of bums me out, honestly!
