What's New in Deckard

1.2.0

September 29, 2026

Read the cards like a real counter. • New lesson: Seeing cards in groups. Cancel the pairs and read a whole hand at a glance. • New drill: Groups. A few cards flash up at once, you give their net value. With records and a new daily challenge. • At the table, with the coach closed, a wrong play is now flagged on the felt, with the right one and why. A count deviation played right gets credit too. You can turn it off in Settings. Fix: the balance no longer gains or loses 50 cents after a blackjack paid 3 to 2, and surrender and insurance use exactly half the bet. Thanks for your reviews: this update comes straight from one of them.

Absolutely terrific app!

Thank you so much to the developer for this amazing tool! Beautiful interface, wide range of different training exercises and great lessons.

Enormous gratitude for not making another money-grabbing subscription app!

If there were any more updates I’d love to see more info about the visualization techniques mentioned in some of the articles to keep track of the count but honestly the app is perfect as is.

Response from developer

Thank you so much, this made my day! Keeping Deckard free and without subscriptions is a deliberate choice, so it means a lot that it matters to you. Great suggestion on visualization: the next update will include a full lesson on reading cards in groups and cancelling pairs, plus a drill to practice it. Happy counting!
