About

Ahoy, matey! Deckhand Games is a home for classic card games with a pirate twist. The first game aboard is Pirate Cribbage: cut, discard to the crib, peg, count your hand and race round the board to 121. It is free to play, with no ads and no real-money purchases. PLAY THE CREW Take on three computer opponents: Swabbie Sal (easy), Bosun Barnaby (medium) and Cap'n Crowe, the captain who counts every card (hard). Your cribbage hand arrives sorted, ace to king, and you can slide any card sideways to put it where you like. Playing the computer as a guest needs no account and works with no connection. PLAY A FRIEND ONLINE Send a friend an invite link, challenge someone from your crew, or try Quick Match. Ranked games, played by classic rules, move your rating through the ranked tiers. Not ready to stop? Ask for a rematch. CLASSIC OR PIRATE RULES Keep it classic, or switch on Pirate Rules: buried treasure, the Kraken, the Black Spot and six one-use powers. The powers are the Spyglass, Crow's Nest, Parley, Pickpocket, Rebury and Belay That!, which takes back the card you just played and now gives you a few seconds to use it. Play powers free, once each per game, or in Plunder mode, where each costs 2 points. Short pirate scenes play when the sea gets lively, and you tap Carry on when you are ready. NEW TO CRIBBAGE? Peggy the parrot talks you through a practice game, step by step, from cutting for the deal to counting the crib. Then try the Daily Discard: a new hand every day, which two cards would you throw? See how your throw ranks by points expected, and keep a best-throw streak going. KEEP YOUR SHIP'S LOG With a free account, every match is written up in the Ship's Log: detailed stats, ranks and achievements, plus a leaderboard to climb. One account works on iPhone, iPad and the website at deckhand.games. FAIR WINDS No ads, no real-money purchases, and we never sell your information. Players' names are filtered, online talk is a handful of fixed pirate call-outs, and you can report or block any player. You can delete your account from the Account page. An account is only needed for online play, the Ship's Log and the leaderboard. Help and support: deckhand.games/support

Ahoy! Belay That! now gives you time to use it, and your hand arrives sorted. - Belay That! (a Pirate Rules power) takes back the card you just played. While you still have it, your opponent now waits about 3 seconds after your card, and a ring runs down the button while you can take it back. Online, the pause needs the new version on both sides; with an older app on either side the game plays on at once, as before. - Pause for Belay That!, a new switch in Settings, turns your own pause off. - Your cribbage hand arrives sorted, ace to king. Slide any card sideways to put it where you like; your order stays for the round and each new deal arrives sorted again. With VoiceOver, use the Move left and Move right buttons. - Vibration has a switch of its own in Settings (on iPhone). If you had turned Pirate animations off, Vibration starts off, so your phone doesn't start buzzing again unasked. - Against the crew, the table waits while a power's card or the menu is open, so there is time to read it. - Settings' switches are easier to tap: the whole row turns each one. Free, no ads. One account on iPhone, iPad and the web.
