Sound • The level control was giving away about ten decibels before the sound ever reached you. The slider now covers a range you can actually use, including on a quiet phone in a quiet room. • A call or an alarm used to leave the engine running silently in the background for as long as the interruption lasted. It now stops properly, and starts again properly. • "Waiting for headphones" waited forever. Plug them in and the session starts. • Mono Audio was read once at launch, so turning it on during a session left the stereo placement folded into a comb filter. It is followed live now. Look • The screen is rebuilt around one ring, placed against the screen rather than pushed into position by spacing. • The last thirty seconds are visible now: the ring goes out, and the point of light drifts to the centre and stops there. • Type was rebuilt as six roles, so the app's own sentences no longer truncate at large text sizes. • Several pieces of text were dimmer than they claimed to be. They were measured against the background they are actually drawn on, and corrected. Sleep timers • The timer covers a whole night now. • The 90- and 120-minute options descended out of order. They descend correctly. Accessibility • Bold Text had no effect anywhere, because every font in the app sets a weight. It applies now, without a relaunch. • Increase Contrast, Dynamic Type, VoiceOver and Reduce Motion are followed. Quieter at night • The closing question used to be asked whenever a session finished — including at three in the morning, right after eight minutes spent getting you ready to sleep. It waits for waking hours now, and asks at most once a day.
