So unpolished

The dialog seems constant I ended up uninstalling cause everything was just constant dialog. Play a second of game and more dialog. I never made it to real game play. The forced cheap low cpm banner ad at the bottom is what the real uninstall kicker was. They make games so tacky looking and don’t pay enough to risk sabotaging the UI

Very fun to play :0

The gameplay does not get boring and is pretty good because it challenges you and the progression so far for me is at a good pace. I do wish there was an ad free option to buy because the ads are pretty frequent and that makes the annoying as you play the game :/ .

Too many adds no way to skip

It’s fun for the few seconds you get to play but no way to remove ads makes this game unplayable.

I Love It, Just Needs Some Tweaks

I probably sat down and played this for a couple hours straight at the beginning, during which I really enjoyed the game. At that time, even if you hunted low level fish to gain xp, there was enough to do in between that your health had time to regenerate. The actual gameplay was great, and I really like the shops, the hunting mechanic, and the dialogue.

However, once you get far enough, it gets to a point where your health depletes quicker than it regenerates because you’re hunting way more often than you complete events/tasks. And there’s no way to get it back unless you use the heals the game gives you early on (which I ran out of fast) or stop playing. I really don’t like when games force you to wait for things like energy (or in this case health) to regenerate with nothing to do in the meantime.

With this game, it would make much more sense to do something like scaling down the selling prices of fish so you progress between areas slower, or getting rid of the whole “buy a spear and instantly gain five levels” thing and actually rely on the leveling by hunting mechanic. That way you could make sure the game isn’t completed too quickly without literally making the player wait to continue.

Personally, I wouldn’t mind spending some extra time hunting fish (which is the entire point of the game) to gain some coins and xp to buy better weapons and level up my character without the whole health system, instead of the current method of just waiting until the game gives you an instant level up weapon so you don’t lose too much health hunting the higher level fish that actually give decent xp.

I’d prefer if the weapons worked like upgrades and slightly increased the critical target size, or made fish slower, or something. That would work much better in a game like this, which even already has the mechanics, instead of just relying on the whole “health depletes and then player has to wait to continue playing” thing that’s currently going on. Just get rid of that and rework the weapons system if you want the game to be set on a longer time scale. The gameplay is good enough that people would enjoy spending some extra time playing to progress instead of being forced to quit entirely and just wait.

TLDR; the gameplay is great, but the game relies on health, which regenerates over time. This forces the player to quit and wait for it to regenerate (very often past the early stages) to continue playing. Currently the game works by giving the player weapons that instantly increase the character by multiple levels, which then allows access to the next areas. But then you get stuck in said areas because your health depletes way too fast. I’d personally prefer if the weapons system were redesigned so that buying them works similar to upgrades (which would help you hunt better fish) and then spend some time hunting fish to gain the coins needed to buy them. That way you’re at least actually playing the game to progress.

They intentionally ugly the game with a banner

The game tries to look decent but they ugly it up with the unprofessional developer branding of a banner ad at the bottom. Those are tell tale warnings of a bad developer which is proven in statistics so that’s an instant uninstall. Least they made a penny off the ugly banner I guess.
