Timer stopped working
This app needs update. It is so outdated. It crashes trying to set a program.
Poor app
App fails and closes when trying to set the dawn to dusk and clear features. Tried downloading the latest version and get the same results. Using an iPhone 11. Please fix your app so I don’t have to swap out the switches for another product. Thank you.
App with iPhone 13
Why can’t they fix the app so it works with new iPhones. It appears they want you to buy a new one. I will, but a different brand.
No longer supported
This used to work on my iPhone 10, but with all of the iOS updates, it no longer communicates to the timer. Last update from the developers was 4 years ago. Clearly they’re no longer supporting this app. Time to buy a new timer.

Update: I purchased a genuine apple adapter from the apple store website and was able to connect to the timer. Have lightning to headphone adapter but the app doesn’t recognize the defiant switch. If you just bought the switch, take it back

Great app been using for years. I did buy a separate adapter to connect Jack for new iPhones. Works great.
Total Garbage
Don’t buy anything Defiant brand -it’s all garbage and nothing works.I think their app interface was designed by a 2nd grader.It’s never worked total waste of money and this app needs to be removed from the App Store.
Does not work with newer phones without headset Jack
This timer has worked great but the app does not work with newer phones that do not have a headset jack. I have been searching for an updated app that will buy have had no luck. I had to keep my old IPhone in order the be able to control the timer. That’s not good.

Doesn’t work with iOS 14.3. I wouldn’t recommend buying this switch if the manufacture doesn’t pay to keep the Sa updated so the app works properly.

Don’t buy timer, App doesn’t work
App won’t open. When your power goes out the timer resets and Defiant hasn’t updated the app to work with current iPhone operating system. When you try to use the app it won’t even open.

Worked with my old phone, but doesn’t recognize the cable with an adaptor for the iPhone 11.
Used to work, now a pain
Worked great as a programmable timer (it is NOT bluetooth) - now we cannot program the device. I saw someone else say this was a nuisance - perfectly said.
Our power went out and since then, the timing schedule is off. Lights turn on during the day and off at night...and there’s nothing we can do to fix it.

Doesn’t work with iPhone 11
I bough this switch years ago and it has worked well. I just upgraded from an iPhone 6 to an iPhone 11. I bought an adapter to go from lightning to 3.5mm. I tried to change the times and I keep getting a message that says I need to turn on notifications even though they are on. Since I can’t change the times, I will have to replace the switch with another brand.

Switch and App work perfect
I use the App on my iPhone 5 and my 7. Dusk to Dawn feature is great. Just one glitch. You must allow location sharing “Always”. It won’t work if you select “While using App”
Did not work
It did not work out of the box new. I followed the directions very carefully I have an iPhone 6s. I spent almost an hour troubleshooting. It still doesn’t work. Shame on Home Depot they should not sell garbage like this to your customers.
Won’t work with iPhone XR
It app worked fine with my old droid. Got new iPhone XR and ordered a cord to fit. Nothing. App says I need to “plug it in to electrical”. The programming of the switch is now useless. I can still turn it on and off manually but.... it turns on and off based on an old program from the droid app. It’s not just useless but a nuisance bc it turns on during the day. PITA!
