Not sure what all the fuss is about
I’ve had this scale for about a year. Last night my wife discovered the manual sitting in a box from our move, then handed it to me to scan into the computer. Pleasant surprise to find an app mention in the manual. Downloaded this app and it connected immediately to my scale. When I weighed, I could see it simultaneously on my phone. Settings are straight forward and easy to adjust. I use inches, no issue there. Not sure what else you could ask for with a free app.

Doesn't record info from my scale
This worked great for about a month, but it no longer records info from my scale. It shows connected, but the app doesn't update.

Took it out the box turned it on, automatically was set at lbs and took my weight right away. Downloaded the app and connected right away. Stepped on the scale and the BMI worked right away. Had no issues with this at all.
Only concern is how accurate is the BMI? How does it gather that information without a body scan?

Works great, App needs some tweaks
Scale works great in combination with the app, and easy to set up after downloading.
In the app, on the orange screens that describe what each category is (BMI, Protein, Bone Mass, etc.), the font used for the description is too small and difficult to read. I tried to submit this feedback within the app, but entering your phone number is required to do so. I’m not interested in providing that info, so I’m adding this feedback here.

Potential but this is awful
Out of the box, this DEIK scale only measures weight but at least it was in pounds. This is the US and we sadly don’t think metric. I get this app from the App Store, it automatically connects to the unit, great. The app wants my height as well a weight goal ... in centimeters and kilograms! I don’t know those. I did some mental math conversions so I could get started but most Americans would be stuck! I searched for a way to change the units in the app and couldn’t find anything. I step on the scale and guess what, my weight is no longer in pounds! Now the app has many useful measurements for me like bone mass, muscle weight and fat percentage. But they have to allow me to do this in my own units.
So I realized I should check the instructions, which I had left downstairs. I got them and found that the scale and app do support pounds and stones but the instructions for how to choose the units were useless. I returned to the app and looked in places I didn’t think would work. There are 4 modes and it turns out that the ... menu button has a different menu in each mode. The Me mode has the right option, but instead of units, the menu item is “unit”, which at first assumed meant something to do with syncing to my new scale. Nevertheless I was at last able to set the units I need. So I’ll raise the score from 2 stars to 3 for this app. It needs work but it will function for you. It now I cannot find where to adjust my height!

Fix it
I can’t get anything other than my weight to measure. It has many other features but they don’t work. Also, the grammar is really weird. I get morning reminders that say “you should weighting”.? My weight also tracks into my phone at .1 or .2 more than the scale shows
Works okay
It takes some patience to get it to connect and transfer the data. Also, the spelling/grammar is atrocious. It is almost to the point that you can’t understand what is being said.
