This used to be a great service
Once upon a time, DeliverZero was a cool and innovative service that let NYers order delivery with reusable containers. They had a robust network of local restaurants participating in the container return system that made it easy and convenient to reduce waste. There were a few flaws here and there, but overall their website and app worked well and customer service was excellent. I was happy to support this vision.
That all stopped when they terminated their own delivery service and entered a "partnership" Caviar and DoorDash in order to make their program more widely accessible. DeliverZero's website and app were effectively disabled, forcing users to go through the mainstream apps to order. They now charge a fee to order with the reusable containers and you can no longer drop them off with the delivery driver. It's not inconvenient, but every bit of friction they add to the process disincentivizes consumers from using this more environmentally option.
On top of it all, I can't in good conscience give my money to the mainstream delivery apps that have consistently opposed NYC laws that would have given delivery drivers a living wage. Instead, delivery workers are forced to break traffic laws and ride on sidewalks in order to maximize the number of deliveries. It is with regret that I can no longer support this app.

Goodbye
The app used to work well but now it just sends you to Doordash. I like the reusable delivery containers but I don't want to support Doordash or any other delivery platform that uses its power to squeeze the restaurants and delivery workers to enrich themselves.
Great concept but…
When they started working with third parties like caviar and doordash, they changed the app and removed features. Disappointing that they cannibalized their own app to work with others.

App freezes on load screen
I want to love this app because I love the idea of this service, but I haven’t been able to use it because the app gets stuck on the load screen any time I select the “Boxes” tab or a restaurant in the “Delivery” section :(
Best Food Delivery EVER
After ordering on DeliverZero app, I deleted all other delivery apps from my phone. I am always appalled by the amount of trash I create for a takeout order.
DeliverZero has not only nailed the reusable food delivery process, but also created an app and level of service that far exceeds any food delivery app out there!!!

I love ordering from Deliver Zero because it feels so much better to use reusable containers than throwing away so much waste. And the app is so easy to use, very user friendly.
Great app, great service, great cause
As someone concerned with the enviroment and my impact on it, I consider DeliverZero a godsend; by packaging deliveries in reusable containers they eliminate the tons of waste I generate on a yearly basis (being a New Yorker who orders in all the time). The app makes it easier to use the service: it is elegantly designed, simple to use, fast and efficient. I cannot recommend it - or DeliverZero - enough!

Best Food Delivery Service
I have had the best delivery from DeliverZero in NYC. They are consistent with their delivery process and the next step in helping change the course of the planet. The food options are amazing and I am thankful to have found this company recently!
