Update: figured out why the dash doesn't always work for me - it requires too long of a swipe. When you have fractions of a second to make a move, a long swipe takes too much time. REALLY needs either a separate control for swipe or make the swipe motion shorter. And I did discover the blue hair as the stamina indicator (I think I'd skipped the tutorial originally).

Simple but effective and engaging. Like the art style. The one thing that really bugs me is the dash - the gesture for that just doesn't work half the time (and not because I'm out of stamina), and doing it interrupts the flow of movement/play. I rarely even try because of that. Really needs a button as an option to allow the user to decide which method to use. Also could use some kind of indicator showing when dash is ready.
