Great but not worth it
This is a great resource for practice management, but it’s also a disappointing example of the sexism that still exists in parts of the dental profession. The platform feels heavily male-dominated, with little to no moderation of discussions about girlfriends, wives, ex-wives, and female associates. Some of the comments and attitudes expressed toward women can make the environment feel unprofessional and unwelcoming.

Ever since the big update to DT a couple of months ago, the app is practically unusable. Please fix this DT, I use to love y’all’s app.

I’ve been posting on DT for over 20 years—at first mostly clinical stuff and then exclusively in the “Political Forum”. The conversations I’ve had on the site are the best I’ve ever had anywhere in my life. I retired 6 months ago and don’t post much anymore, but I learned so much from the people on the “poli thread”. The original tag line of DentalTown— something like “ Never practice alone again” held true for me. I’m grateful for the site and the connections I’ve made on it.
