About

Never be late again — to anything. Departd wakes you up at the exact right minute, then keeps you on time all day. It reads your calendar, measures the drive, and checks real-time traffic and weather to tell you when to wake, when to get ready, and when to leave — for your first event and every one after it. While you sleep, it checks again: if traffic has worsened, your alarm moves earlier, automatically. No math. No guessing. YOUR WHOLE DAY, ON TIME • Wakes you up — a reliable alarm built on iOS 26's AlarmKit that breaks through silent mode. • Leave on time, all day — a "leave by" for every event, not just the first. • Traffic-adjusted — live ETAs, re-checked overnight before your alarm (all night long with Pro). • Weather-aware — rain, snow, and severe conditions add buffer automatically. Free for everyone. • Flight-smart — TSA and terminal buffers for travel days. • A full-day timeline — every event, with the drive and prep built in. • Explains itself — see exactly why your wake and leave times were chosen, in the app or by asking Siri "Why this time?" • Live Activity + Dynamic Island — your next departure, one glance away. WHY DEPARTD Most alarms ring at the same time every day, and most planners have no idea how long it takes to get anywhere. Departd does both: it wakes you AND gets you out the door on time — for the meeting across town, the school run, the 5 PM appointment, the airport. You set nothing each night. Your calendar is your plan. FOR ANYONE WHO • Wonders "is 15 minutes enough for traffic?" • Is always running a few minutes late to everything. • Travels for work and wants gate-aware airport runs. • Has ever been late to something that mattered. PRIVACY FIRST Your calendar stays on your device. Departd is built end-to-end on Apple frameworks — AlarmKit, EventKit, MapKit, and WeatherKit. Weather data is provided by Apple Weather. SUBSCRIPTION Departd Pro adds the autonomous layer: the Overnight Traffic Watcher (re-checks the drive all night, not once), Adaptive Learning, and on-device AI Prep Tips for tomorrow's first event. The all-day Live Activity on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island is included for everyone, free. Monthly or annual. Cancel anytime in Settings. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Manage in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Terms of Use (EULA): https://chrisradtke0.github.io/smartalarm-legal/terms-of-use.html Privacy Policy: https://chrisradtke0.github.io/smartalarm-legal/privacy-policy.html Requires iOS 26 or later. Calendar and alarm access are required; notifications and location are optional.

What's New in Departd

1.5.10

September 8, 2026

A quiet release, with two fixes found by using Departd on a real morning. • Fixed: Departd could treat somewhere you actually have to drive to as though it were at home, and work out your wake-up time as if you needed no travel at all. It was reusing the previous day's answer instead of looking at today's event. Each event is now worked out on its own. • Fixed: waking up exactly on time could immediately show a "Running Behind Schedule" screen. Departd sets your alarm for the last sensible minute, then checked a few seconds later and counted those seconds against you. It now gives you a moment to get up before it says anything — and still speaks up straight away if you genuinely cannot make it. Departd also keeps a closer watch on the moment your alarm is set overnight. Nothing changes about how or when you are woken. This is groundwork: if anything ever does go wrong at that moment, Departd can now show us exactly what happened instead of leaving us to guess. Also fixed: the prompt that asks whether you would rate Departd had been broken since May and never appeared. It now shows up only after Departd has actually woken you a few times — and never while an alarm is ringing. Carried over from 1.5.9, which was available for barely a day: • Fixed: an alarm could ring over and over. If you opened Departd after a wake time had already passed, it could create a fresh alarm seconds away and ring it, repeatedly. It now recognises an alarm that has already gone off. • Fixed: skipping a wake-up shortly after 4am silently suppressed the FOLLOWING morning's alarm — one you had never asked to skip. Skipping is now tied to the alarm you are actually cancelling, and only ever cancels that one wake-up. • Fixed: an alarm you skipped can no longer be quietly put back by the overnight traffic and weather checks. • Fixed: the Lock Screen card could say an event was starting now, hours after it had already begun. • Fixed: the alarm screen could appear in the afternoon for an event that never needed a wake-up. • New: Today shows the free window between your events, so a two-hour gap reads as usable time. • Fixed: your wake-up time is worked out from the home address you saved, not a guess at where your phone is in the middle of the night.
