Simple and Ad Free

So good, I’m writing my first review ever. Good interface and ad free.

Please Please can you restore ios12 compatibility?

I have an older iPad I am trying to save from the landfill by literally dedicating it to this app. But now it requires 13 which I cannot upgrade to. Is there ANY way you could possibly restore 12 compatibility? I know, it is probably too much to ask. But thank you for such a great app all the same. It was very useful when I could use it.

Easy to use, no gimmicks

Tried most Of calculator apps. This one is the easiest to use and nicely visualized Dog on a colorful bar.

good idea, but

Your application shows that the DoF is greater on a full-frame sensor than on a crop sensor

Works nicely!

Simply & clear!

Limited

Can't handle lenses over 200 mm. That's a problem. Otherwise OK.

Perfekt, dafür würde ich auch was geben…

App macht genau, was ich mir gewünscht habe.

Great app

Really easy to use and understand. Great app where critical focus is required for front to back sharpness

Neat! No Custom sensors tho

Cool little app to quickly calculate DoF on the fly for splitting focus between actors. My biggest gripe with it is the lack of customizability regarding sensor sizes

Simple and efficient DOF and hyperfocal calculator.

The app is very easy to use. You can select the sensor size, focal length of the lens, aperture and distance of focus. You can then determine at which distance before and behind the subject things will be in focus. You also have the hyperfocal (if you set your focus manually on this distance everything will be sharp beyond that point - very useful in landscape and street photo). Definitely recommending this app.

Very useful

Intuitive and complete interface. The best among DoF estimator

Great! But…..

I do like how simple and accurate things are, but I do wish there was a larger range of focal lengths as my most used lens is a 150-600mm zoom that Inise for bird photography.

Nice addition to my photo tools

Very easy to use. Extremely versatile, and a great graphical representation of the DoF.

Simple

Very simple to use and well designed app. Great value.

Perfect for „old skool“

I‘m using this with a 35mm Leica 0 Serie reissue. No bells and whistles at all, built using the original plans for the first 25 (or 31) 36x24 „full frame“ cameras ever built. It’s a real pain (or delicious pleasure) to use this camera.

Non-standard f-stops? Not a problem with this app.

No depth of field gauge on the lens? No worries from now on.

It takes forever to set this camera up for a photo anyway. Plug the lens, wind 1/2 way, measure the light, guess or measure the subject distance, set focus, consider depth of field required, choose f-stop, validate exposure time, convert exposure time to gap in mm for shutter curtain, set gap, wind film remaining 1/2 way, unplug lens, frame subject in gunsight, release shutter, plug lens.

Having an easy visual representation of the depth of field, makes this process much more likely to yield an acceptable photograph, especially since the camera is held away from the face to frame the subject.

Oskar Barnack would be very impressed, and would immediately think, this is incredible, could we not incorporate this kind of technology in the camera itself?

Ironic.

Great product

Super easy to use does exactly what I wanted. Enter an aperture and a focal length get the death of field.

Simple and elegant

No-nonsense, easy to use tool that's not putting anything behind a paywall.

What a gift this app is

I’ve played with a few DoF apps and this one is my fave despite being totally free. The easily customizable circle of confusion is a godsend for the work I do. Love it!

Best free App

Works fine with all information needed.
