Vocab and gender! Brilliant.
I’ve been learning German for over a year and had the book. I came across the app and got that too.
This is a great way to learn vocabulary and gender at the same time.
Give yourself ten minutes a day every day as a challenge. I cannot emphasise what a great learning tool this app is. Get it!!

Useful but…
Decent app with 2 weaknesses: awful repetitive music and a bug that does not complete a section despite everything correctly answered multiple times (29 words - 122 correct answers… just stop from boredom!)
What a gift
I am so glad I found this app. I was really struggling to learn this and this is the best system I’ve found.

First of all, thank you for figuring out these rules and sharing. This would have been a game changer for me way back in the day.
I’d like to see some options in the app to help me learn the rules, before getting to the “levels” you presently offer.
Something along the lines of a level where you’re testing the der words that follow the rule, the die words that follow the rule, and then das.
Then a level where rule-following der, die, das words are all mixed up.
After that, I would add in non-rule following for der words, die words, etc.
Until finally, you mix them all up.

Edit: right now I keep running into a lot of bugs. It won’t pass me on a level, even though I’ve done 200 correctly in a row. Sometimes it’s stopping and making me start over when I didn’t make a mistake. I’m finding it very frustrating.

Disappointed
I bought the book and paid for the upgraded app. I’m not really loving either. The explanations aren’t very good, and it’s not always clear how the rule relates to an item guessed wrong on the app. The word lists are full of exceptions that make the “rules”seem more like guesswork based on loose patterns and statistical likelihood. It seems like progress is less a matter of learning rules and patterns and applying them and more a matter of learning each individual word through trial and error. The app is proving to be a very frustrating experience and not much fun to use despite the attractive graphics. If I’m being honest, I don’t believe this approach has really succeeded in “cracking the code”of gender in German. It’s just providing a more focused, gamified opportunity to practice memorizing nouns with their articles the old fashioned way. Also, if you buy the book, the app should be free as a supplement.

Great tool for German language learners
Memorizing articles has always been such a pain for me. I was really happy to stumble upon this app because it has been great for practice. I even ordered the book for the additional help and explanations. Only critique is that topics don’t seem to complete? I have one completed, but others where I have high scores of 100 still don’t say complete. I still have no clue how the other one got marked as complete.

Ads Interrupt Gameplay causing Loss
Great concept, but on Stage 2 I kept getting ads mid-game, without getting an answer wrong first. The game continues, and you „lose“ in the background. Unplayable.
Clear rules
As a German teacher I love how this app puts the rules for Der die das into easy and understandable categories.
Very aggressive advertisements
Do not get this game if you do not plan on paying 3 dollars
German pronunciation
German words are very hard to pronounce. When I turn on. The sound to hear the correct pronunciation all I hear is music. What a bummer.

This app is very good- I might get the Premium (very cheap) but there is lots hidden without it. It is very helpful with learning new Vocabulary. Overall I think this app could improve if they let you add your own words but anyways it is so fun.
Just what I was looking for!
I Read a Great Book about the derivations of der die das and needed a quick fire test. This app even highlights rules as you go. It’s brilliant

Errors
I love the concept but it keeps popping balloons (saying it’s wrong) then telling me it was what I picked. It isn’t teaching the wrong use it’s just not seeing that’s what I chose. It’s the same words every time so it’s really frustrating since the point is to work up your number of correct answers.

Having trouble getting the premium version
I am having issues trying to pay for the premium version. It first wants me to confirm my payment at the Apple Store, then it asks me to confirm again with a PayPal account. Two problems with this. First, I’m not using PayPal for this. Second, the PayPal account that pops up isn’t mine! I tried deleting it, but it won’t let me do that. At this time, I’m going to pass on the premium version. 🤔

The app enables a quantum leap for German genders
This app makes it great fun to learn the german articles. The fact that everytime you make a mistake it links you to the lesson that applies for the noun is what really made it all connect and reinforced what I learned. Other apps where I just get things wrong but don't know why just lead to frustration.

Very Disappointed
Had high hopes for this. Very disappointed. Even after purchasing this, every time I missed a word I had to watch an ad. Incredibly annoying. To remove the ads it requires an in app purchase. Dont waste your money on this app.
